Thanks for posting those Hub, I watched the races and was not impressed by the beemer at all. We'll see as the season progresses but at this point they don't look like they are living up to the hype.

I've got nothing better to do but play with another computer. So, I'll pop in every once and awhile, see the old gang on your antiquated bikes. Not that I'm turning up my nose to the 14. It's been a good bike. Time for a change to the next fastest thing a ding ding."

Now this is funny.

Hub bought himself a Bimmer------------------------------------------

Huh?

Good for you, Hub. Nice Bike, Best color. been waiting for your moment. I still think most of us can wait a while longer. The Japs will step it up and when they do,...............?

There is no end to this game. There will never come a day when new bikes stop getting faster. the only way is to live in the past or go turbo. I can't imagine being able to afford to keep up with the sportbike Jonses. Wish I could.

Hope we continue to hear from you, Hub.

Ass much as I loath those special tools you need to keep that bike running is more like a well built piece of shit data is. The brand is too consistent, I match, pace per pace, gear for gear, seal for seal, the 14 is going to run like a refridgear ate her, like, eat seals to metal. Here comeith day leaks on the garage floor, or should I say, "Shortly."; will it burn that groove down in. Show me somea Honda SOHC with HA! seal problem kind of shaft wears a shadow burn instead. Not(!) a groove you can stick your fingernail in and stop; kind of well built piece of shitskis is the joke is not on me anymore! I've had experience on 2 different generation BM Trouble USE go out an buy one.BMG = Be My Guest. They both> would not hold up to the foot apply or the throttle opening I just doodle in between traffic or wax a painted line or two. Clock me down waiting for another BMW is I rather you hand me a gun because I rather.. And Take My Chance IS!

And that is how I see it. One big joke... OH, you wanna choke me now, we have a little fun in the nut house of 14's? OK, just one cracked nut; Busting nuts.

All I did was get the jump at the light fan dang go, like... Go look at your calendar date dare.

Haters they lot of you are. The little beemer kills the 14 on the dyno and you come out of the woodwork to berate it. it is people like youns that make me want to trash the 14 out so the ins will give me more than it is worth and go get the beemer.

ya ..what he said...whatever that was..( reference to Hubster that is)

Rook I agree with your point ..There are a lot of people who bought the ZX14 because it was rated the fastest thing out there in its first itteration ..and now, well, its just a large very fast bike among a company of fast bikes.
Those who have a need to have the best and the fastest will never be satisfied. They will always be looking for the next new "fastest" toy. Many will leave the 14 behind because of this.

I went looking at sport bikes in '06 because I was sick of the dangerous handling characteristics and ergos of the gutless cruiser I had been riding. I did not know a thing about about the 14's speed rep. I bought it because it fit like a glove and I knew I would be able to run the thing for hours without a problem..I intended to actually ride the bike..not flit about here and there at scofflaw squid speed or strut through town to blast lights, humiliating 600's and Hardleys etc.I don't get that.
Anyways....I love the 14. It has proven to be a great bike and I will continue to improve mine to suit me and make it the best bike out there bar none ...for me..but this is just me.
The industry needs people to keep buying the latest and greatest to keep things developing so they perform a service to everyone by ponying up their hard earned cash every few years.
I'll hang on to mine till something major breaks and run the thing across the whole of north America in the meantime.
Wow has it been a blast so far!! Can't wait for the next two weeker on "Jackson"

When I was looking at a 14 I thought nope not 4 me and then in 2008 I bought a used one. Did not feel bad on the floor but the 1st time on asphalt I thought I need to make this an old mans cruiser.
Since then I kinda like the bike yet never go over 9 grand.

Haters they lot of you are.
I hope that was not addressed to me. I love high tech bikes. I'm just point out a deliberate price gouge at full list and she drops like a stone after the cataclysmic roll of the dealer drive does the trade-in price sink into the abyss. It's deliberate is heard it through the grapevine.

The little beemer kills the 14 on the dyno and you come out of the woodwork to berate it.
I hope that was not addressed to me. I love high HP engines to sit on. I also think 86 pounds is lighter than 114ft-lbs, I need to push my white powered sugared doughnut lips [flapping in the wind], I may ride a little too long in the painted-saddle, then carry my buzzzed-out-butt still humming on some restaurant chair. Now it's lunch time. I wipe the BBQ sauce off my is no, hold onto the chair and let the buzz run up your arms, onto your face and shake it off that way?

it is people like youns that make me want to trash the 14 out so the ins will give me more than it is worth and go get the beemer.
One napkin, coming UP.

Whoa, hold up there, Kruz. You mean, germ many should be ashamed of themselves not me. I bought the product twice and thought this bike would be superior than anything the world makes is make no mistake; I hold to my words.

I drain that transmission housing and saw nothing but copper crap and now the 14 has all the oil in the engine, not 3 separate cavities like a H-D or a BMW having 2, OK, 3 is the rear end. So, as long in the tooth that horizontal opposed is, they rather think up the assinn9 < Look at the word is as ugly as ass a frenche wannabe opening up the Olympics with some bass are you kidding me costume; injected molded titty tail light, Madonna snow cones wanna look like [a bike too?]

and next the new gsxrr1zxrr is going to have 193 hp and which ever is all new the rags will be saying this is the greatest of all time, its the closest thing to a true world superbike you can ever get. THen the next squid will be saying I have to have it and your jeolous because I make more HP than you and have better technology. While all the squids are yapping the rest will be out riding there old heavy outdated technolgy slow bikes around the country and on the tracks passing by the squids throwing flowers on their grave. Same stuff.. different year.

But anyways, congrats on the new bike. Getting a new bike is always alot of fun. Bikes are like strippers in that you got to have it when you see it. Then you ride it for awhile and see the next one and got have that one too and you cant believe you rode that old rag for so long but sometimes to embarrased to admit the old one was better.

Wise words. I will keep that in mind.

If they come out with a 200hp ZX-14 in the next couple years, I'll just have to hide my eyes.

No Hub nothing was aimed at you or anybody else but I could not find and smilies on the board to throw in on my post. I have no brand loyalty and will own different brands at the same time so if the sucker will start I will try to ride it just for the heck of it.

hoopie, hoopie, "April Fools!" I'm not jumping ship for some tiny buzz-bomb that is a tiny bit faster than the pork chop I ride now. It was all a joke! I would not own another BMW knowing what I know about the product first hand [brand new], OK, the [first] one was second hand but in nice condition none the less. They still would not hold up equally to what is mile'd on my 14 now. Some [metal] sparkle will rear it's ugly head showing you it won't last too much longer. Now I should go out, buy special tools that turn obsolete in the engine family of it all? I still have the same set of T-Handles of decades gone buy and I can take that 14, splattered it on the floor with very little tools needed and she is just as fast or faster I am back on the track in no time.

Divide the 5250 HP math formula to find torque. I am not about to step off of 114ft-lbs of torque for 83foot is foot it faster? And like you light up an M-80 think you have a firecracker. I'm with a lit fuse with extra TNT is the M-100 if you want to weigh apples to oranges. April my fool I step off the 14 for any thing lower in torque? I guess you do not know me that well, hoopitea dupe pit tee is the goof is on you.

And loyal I am not. I can't be loyal to a woman riding her and one waiting in the wings a few miles away is I have the same mentality for bikes is swap out the shelf life eventually, but not yet. The best is yet to cum down the road. The piece of shit should be up front on it's own with that kind of HP.

Every RR that hits someone's dyno keeps hitting the same number. Everyone struggles tuning the 14 and is never near the HP, but 103lbs-ft is about average I keep reading the charts. I gain 20-lbs-tq, spending 10 grand less. That means, I have 10 grand toward a bike that will burn a shadow on a rub beer hub-hub is going no wear is where do you find the world's fastest production bike in the historical meaning of it all?

YES OR NO? Do I have to spell it out...

lytnin, I see we are alike in the bike brand thinking. I like to ride different things but the 14 is just a spoiler. Low rpm, smooth riding, brakes even better if you swap out pads I hear. Handles, keeping hooligan bikes at bay in the canyons [dots in the mirror I see a short straightaway] and I don't know how you are going to have to wind up the crank to do the same is insane in my book.

Yes, I know it's the rider. X-man [Xaus] is x'd off my list. I did not know he was that broken up physically. So, I'm not about to throw a broken bike out on the track and compete. See how that whole team thinks? Depends on how bad his ability to never feel pain or break concentration about the pain and off he goes in the weeds. So, he's a dark horse on the most powerful bike out there, IMO.

I'm just saying. That bike is a front runner and I used to change brands just to stay current and did well when I did pick the brand to win. I lead my last race; not that I am throwing that in your face[to no one special]. It is WOTit is. So, I would no doubt be on the RR if things were different. Only difference is, I am in no rush for trackday. Too old to race and take another chance; I bail. It's ragged enough on the street is where I belong with the cell callers. I like to race away from them instead.

So ass long ass they perform as shitty ass day do, weak after week, year after ear I don't hear them calling that squad key put, I will bring on the parody no matter how bad-bad it turns out. I'm not the factory looking bad... Last or 1st... "Shit or get off the pot."

Bike does no change it's tune and detunes itself. No suspension can slow down a good rider sticking it out up front everyone on the same tire spec is one pound off or one click off. I'm sure he'll pull one off. I won't give up on him just yet.

LOL Hub played an April fools prank on yas, and yas all bought it hook line and sinker.

Like every beemer, the new one is a fine piece of work. The guys and girls that ride the touring beemers feel their rides are a cut above the hondas and harleys they ride with. In many ways they are right. I'm sure the same is true of this new sportbike.

But it all goes down the road pretty much the same. Whether you spent $7,500 for a ten year old Harley or $16,000 for a new beemer or $20,000 for a new Harley, or anything in between, its all good.

I'd rather ride a 250 beater than nothing at all.

Mr. Privateer dat is some tru ass word (trying to imitate hubster)

I have my toyz to tear up and put back together, toyz that are in constant state of change and go no where and then my 2009 K1300GT beemer that is quiet and comfy. Lots of money but still goes down the road like my 14 does just a lot slower.

Man, pri, I did the same M-O at the old 14 website one year. I forgot what I did? Probably something stupid for sure. Figured I'd break the place in on it's one year anniversary. Why stop the stu pit.

And I was about to ask, lytnin, if there were any recalls or nagging problems with the K1300? I mean, I'm looking at under 30,000 miles and that bmw is about to nickel and dime you about then was my experience times 2. I don't think the bike cost painter a dime for any major work on his high miler 14. And how many years did the 14 come out and each time, one more improvement from paper to production to 4 years down the road. Would you agree all that popped up, was just a tip over switch needing a check of the bolts? Mine were tight and mine was not one of the bikes that was caught with this minor glitch [someone on the line came in on a Monday kind of hangover].

Now, we move to the K1300, see from day one, how many are still on the road after 4 years of how many miles without a stitch of trouble? I'm sure if we dove in a K1300 site and hear the complaints of the product, you just hear zip about the 14 you come here. Just to show you; it is so boring we talk about other bikes is the dependability of, mother load 14.

What say ye, lytnin, can you shed some light on the site about so many little things popping up on [your] the/their K1300's? Say we match bike for bike, mile for mile, [not performance], but the drive-ability having some stumble somewhere with a year change. Maybe someone tried to change the tune and it runs so-so? I will stop assuming the K1300 can match the 14 for trouble free miles or hours clocked would be the better test. Spill the beans, lytnin. How trouble free out of the crate is the k1300, which might trickle down to the RR.
