as long as nothing goes wrong with the BMW it would be an amazing bike. With all the gadgets and dodads to control everying and such low production numbers, my friends with the BMW can expect the bike to be in the shop for a long time once a backordered senors goes Kaputt.

Other than that, and the headlight design - it is an amazing bike.

No doubt. However, someone rode the bike and gave [to me], a better perspective of the performance. He said, and I paraphrase, '... there was no bite at the bottom or mid, but blew away the top end of said Busa kind of impressive power overtake.' Eyes have mirror dot bottom and mid. Oh, and where is that can yawn piece is of sardine cans is about ass tech no crap again did I see an RR at the bottom of the times sheet; dis is fun is the parody of it all. Tit blows it goes it's WOTall the Ruckus is; Someone Knows?

That bike needs to be in the right handsayou guessedit. A Rossi/Spies link to the stink in the, pit crew chief should be cooking turkeysauce is geeze is squeeze his wee near shitsill, making sand which is a whole different story.

Hubs right about the gutless low and midrange on the Beemer. Maybe the aftermarket will sort that all out? Meanwhile, as I continue to rack up the miles on my ZX-10 it becomes apparent it's pretty gutted in the low to mid range department as well. My CBR is more fun to ride around town because of the low end hit and steamy midrange. Just food for thought.

184.5 HP for the whine and cheeze ride.

Maybe someone from here with a stretched red one can chime in where he was just a few minutes ago? Top of the heap is now the beemer to beat. One after the other, 183-184-184-184.5. Still sounded like a long time to get there even in slick mode or full-open bike setting.

Video to come shortly.

Who fears 80lbs torque to 114lbs? Hate? I hate to step down in sheer torque. I should throttle screw the HP that takes another 6,000 rpm to see that number? I just sat on the Aprilia for April. Like sitting on a stadium cement bleacher. Trying to sell me a leftover as in, "Love our brand bike" is buy a discontinued pile with an attitude? I said, I rotate machinery, not marry it, "Like she's the last one, yeah?"

I lug that thing off the side stand and about lost my balance. I walked out to the 14, pulled on an extra 40lbs of tug it felt like and just went back inside; threw my coat on and basically left. Hearing that sales pitch like he is saying a V-Twin is smooth and I am going to leave the lounge section of the season ticket holder and some heavy ass bike that chokes out on the freeway we average 90 with the rest of the traffic. About 5 minutes of that, the numb nuts and fingertips react to your impulse buy. No thanks, if that is hating to scratch your jock itch and shake the blood back in your arm pump I just went for doughnuts down the street.

The beemer definatly has impressive horsepower numbers, but on the street its all about torque, not hatin on the beemer, its definatly an eye opening bike, and raises the bar for performace bikes, but there is a big difference between street and track.(Besides, someone has to dance with the fat girls!)

Spain Results:

BMW RR = Mid Pack Finish Cheers. WATT did I tell you. It's not the electrics. It's the cam is my guess. Built for top speed with that cam grind, plus, the bike looks slow to steer? Two bad combination(s).

Here is the layout of the motorcycle. Structured, organized, placed in a special way, pleasing to the eye. Fluid and fast.

And the way the torque lands, so does the tire carcass.

If you watched [wsb-Sunday] the RR top out the other bike(s) on the straights, but the grunt is nowhere near the bottom. Even dis Liter bike shootout test, rates the Honda mit, .4 pounds less sausage skin cover... Oh, forget about it. Cam my prophylactic or catch a dis easy now, Johnny.

Hub them CBR1000's are screamers and hard to stay beside. When my ZRX1200 was a turbo they were not to hard to take out but cannot touch them without the turbo. I am not sure if the 14 would hang with them in the straits.

I like having fun saying haters cuase it gets the truly dedicated non-beemer people stirred up. So I am a shithead by trate.

On the contrary, lyt, no way would I drop the 14 to swap out the hardware just for the HP? I'm about to open the old check book, write down a number, rip it out and say, "Back number the total amount"; if you want to rotate stock of that 2 year old you have sitting dare. I will now dare them, returning with the truck and ramp; I'm the real mccoy. I'm betting I can rotate [my] old stock... [not the 14] to cover part of this leftover I'm going to try to snag a deal on.

Man, I just about gagged hearing that squishy sales pitch line, "It will change your life" kind of bike. No, they didn't say it like that, but you get the snobby dis of it all. Yeah, so it's waiting there for me, the rubber seals decomposing in the sun sitting at the window; front and center.

Imagine stepping down in torque. I've gotta be nuts buy one on that list. It would change my life back about 10 years in tech.

I don't know what the tq is on the 14 but I do knows it is faster than I want to be. my beemer does everything 4 me so why do I have 5 running bikes to ride?
last time I heard "It will change your life" speech was either the Honda dealer while looking at a GW or the Harvey shop where they will sell you a lifestyle with the bike.
Wanna talk about the HD lifestyle? My friend Jeff traded his ZRX1100 in on a used 2008 SuperGlyde with 1800 miles on it. While on the ricer it was all about gear and full face helmets. 2 days with the HD and he had the $40 chile bowl helmet, buttless chaps, 6 doo rags and a few shirts. I gave him a leather coat minus the HD emblem. Now it is all about the ride and all the skull rigamidoo one can get. The fun side is he keeps it in my garage so I ride it when I want and if he comes home and it is gone then he steals one of my ricers and dresses with gear.

Guys, why are u looking at the suberbike results when u talk about the S1000rr..
I havent tested it yet but i'm gonna give it a ride this summer.
The package is great with wheliecontrol, traction, abs and quicklauncher this is the far of best bike for the regular rider who also loves a trackday now and then.
There is no other bike in its class who delivers a package like this.
To use the superbike results as a parameter to how good the bike is compared to others is just plain stupid.
look at the superstock class instead, that class is pretty close to the bike u can buy from the shops.

Superstock results:
Portimao res: http://sbk.perugiatiming.com/pdf_frame.asp?p_S_Campionato=SST&p_Anno=2010&p_Round=POR
Valencia res: http://sbk.perugiatiming.com/pdf_frame.asp?p_S_Campionato=SST&p_Anno=2010&p_Round=ESP

Dont get me wrong, i love my 14 but for the real twisty roads there is nothing like a good superbike.

I too can compare the 14 against the other bikes. I declined on a KTM 990 being too heavy. I declined on a Aprilia 1000. I gauge my bike against the bikes I pull up from the side stand. This tells me a little bit as to how heavy that pull takes to lift to center; tilted say 15/18° for argument sake is each bike starting at that angle.

When I say the 14 feels a lot lighter to their fully equipped parts, it would probably lighten up a bit. But the bike I have jumps off bumps if I am on the wick. I'd be buzzing any other bike if I had to compare lift off. And then that torque would not even move a feather.

<<< To the Liter bikes. I've got a lifestyle; that lives in the air [sometimes].

The Beemer won this one too with 26.8 more rear wheel HP than the Honda and 22 more than the ZX-10r. I predict the new Beemer will take no prisoners in 2010.

Poor de'em is them. The grunt is at the top. Nothing at the bottom. Bottom feeders catch you in the short course. You lose all that you gained at the top. Now you hang it out keeping up, taking it in the shorts and there goes my rider off in the weeds.

ZX-10 calls for [as does any team need], 'pieces.' R&D keeps running, but the parts that are part of the race play are not there [as with any of the Big4 or more players]. Good for privateers and small teams with money. They now can hire guns in the cheap seats and make the field is what you see.

The RR is leading some stock class points race. But when it comes to play in the big top, I guess even if you have all the pieces there, she still is what it is. A Snobizzshitsells. No, no, ear me out. Get the picture with the Vette and the hot full lootin' german DF 6-Speed. Gonna slide that in a car an shit. Yeah OK, we are here arguing with the engineers. Yeah, I know you gave me the gear box, it's not even out in the Vette yet, just the trip obeer dare we will use this like it's gonna break so we need parts.

WOThe F! Insult you? YOu got me standing here arguing I need spares and you feel insulted I can't break your... That was, the back in the day dealing with these Nose is up in the air nothing brakesays german junk. I bet you hear the screaming in corporate day, "MUST DO DIS ON DIS BIKE INN MIT IN DIS INN DAT AN SHIT IN MY PANTS I'M AGAIN IN DENIAL!" RR DF WTF!

The short story says they continue to fail 3 years running. Cadillac comes out racing and wins. MBenz comes out unproven, WINS. Takes a whole package to win besides the rider. They continue to play stubborn as with that DF transmission they felt would never break in an American car when these 6-speeds were coming on line, they can remain in that same rut decades later. Not my problem she needs the drawing board again or another 3 years makes 6 speeds of no change from now; they are still tossing that pile out there.

A friend of mine has an 07' CBR and one just P/U a new 10' CBR. The other day when riding I had no issues with either one of them, from a dig or a roll-on. In the roll ons I wouldn't let them pick my gear selection though. in the right rpm range in a roll on from any speed I could pull them. Make no mistake the CBR's are fast, but nowhere near the torque of the 14.
