Bad, I'm sorry, but your fast is weak. Anyone can do it, with kit parts.

I'm not claiming anything about the FAIC map. The only thing I claim about the Brock Davidson map is his dyno chart. He gave me a Track map loaded on the piggy when he sent my CT system, tweaked a little for driveability. Its not the run of the mill street map.

I notice on the map compare, the FAIC map is 15-40% (ramping up as rpms climb) less fuel from 0-4,700 rpm and 25% less from 9,700-11,500.

In between its a wash.

Whatever it is, the dyno charts will tell. I'm not going to make my date in Funkstown on the 25th now because my Legion Riders club just changed a run to Deep Creek into an overnight Sat/Sun thing, and I'd rather ride than sit around in a shop.

But like I said, I'll post them, no matter what they say. I'm not invested in Brock's Performance, nor in FAIC. The one I'm running has given me good performance albeit not the greatest mpg average (36.5). If the FAIC map is better, I'll run it.

25% less from 9,700-11,500.

What was Brocks Map -16 ? Most tuners have ended up around -10 to -16 in the top.

I notice on the map compare, the FAIC map is 15-40%

Private, is that a -40% ?

Obviously not since jeffo couldn't out mph or ET what I've run and he used a 70lb lighter rider ON A STOCK ZX14 .. i guess i've just got more skill....but anytime your in texas i'd be more than happy to bring my stock zx14 to the track and school you on racing ..

Bad, I could care less. I was racing before you were born. Been there, done that, no longer interested.

I'm sure you have a lot you can contribute to the forum, and we all appreciate it.

Romans asked:

Private, is that a -40%

It is the high end of the stated range, meaning the percent difference changes as the rpm increases, in the rpm range stated.

My laptop isn't on a network, but when I get a chance I'll try to printscreen or something so I can post it. I may be describing it wrong.

Blue line is Jeffo map... Red is custom tune. Bike is a Gixxer 1k.
Thread is here:
Jeffo map vs dyno tune

Look at that AFR!

Hopefully he's done better with his zx14 map than he did with this guys gixxer. Privateer will let us all know soon enough.

Great link dog.... How 4 u find dis stuff.

This guy sounds pissed.

He calls me back first saying the 1.31hp loss is no big deal. So far so good. It is what it is right? He then spends the next 5 mins yelling at me for taking my bike in to be tested and letting another tuner see his work. I apologized and he still kept going, saying I only have a right to use it, not to share it, etc. etc. Again, I try to settle him with an apology and let him know that everyone I know online that has gotten a map from him has done the same thing: taken the bike in and tested it back to back with another map. Unfortunately, I got as far as "tested" before he cut me off to yell at me again.

At that point, I hung up. I paid him $50 for a map that puts down less power than the map I got for free... and he wants to chew me out for checking his work. Defensive much? No chance of a refund or an adjustment I guess. Which brings me to one conclusion...

Jeffo Maps Are a Complete Waste of Time and Money!

I can say his map is much better than the map I had off of the dynojet site for my bike. I do still have the decel pop though.

Bad, I'm just picking on you because your posts are 99% calling someone stupid or something. LOL.

bawahaha you make me laugh just like the vmax owners.. i've heard them say that line over and over ..
you ain't been racing before i was born .. most time when people no longer interested in something means they suck at something ...

My first motorcycle drag race was in 1972 at the Dover Drag Strip. Between 74 and 75, I raced every weekend at Phoenix City, Alabama drag strip, bracket racing. Ran 9.8s in 1974 with a 1183 cc Z1. Kawasaki of Phoenix City paid my costs and entry fees, and parts/tires. In return my bike wore their stickers, and my leathers had their name on them. So I guess... OMG, I was ... SPONSORED.

Never lost, even giving up lots of seconds to slower bikes and cars.

What were you doing in 1972? I'm not picking on you, just pointing out you seem to assume nobody else has done it too. We can have a conversation if you ever get off your high horse about nobody knowing how to go fast but you.

Dogo, I think the file you sent me got corrupted or something. I was unable to download it to my computer.

Hmmm... wonder what happened... If you want, PM me your email (again) and I will try to resend it. Would be interested to hear what you think of it vs the Jeffo map.

i was thinking of the Z1R

yeap i was kicking in 1974
in fact i was kicking in 1963

and 9.80's is slow for now days a good rider on a 600 can almost run those times ..impress me some more .. you ever owned a vmax

NOWHERE HAVE I POSTED ABOUT THIS THREAD BEING ABOUT ME ..its about you stating maximum power from a jeffo map over all other maps

Were you drag racing or track racing in 1974, or just in elementary school? Define "kicking" please.

Of course the elapsed times I ran in 1974 cannot compare to what is done now. Anyone can see that 37 years of technology improvement would relegate 1974 times to the slow lane. So using it as an argument, as you did above, is spacious at best. Weak.

Bad, I NEVER said the FAIC map had more power than other maps. Not once. You can search and read all my posts about FAIC and it will be completely clear I've been saying I don't know what the FAIC map will do, am somewhat dubious but willing to give it a try, and will post dyno charts for it so everyone can see.

So get your facts straight, because your post is weak.

YOU THE OFFICIAL 1bad's biotch now on zx14.forums.. don't talk papa will beat you ..

i told you i know fast ..fast from today and fast from 37 years ago is weak .. go to the track and run your maps and then post your times ...easy... EHH

Its ok, Edge. He didn't answer my questions, nor refute them, nor accept he accused me of posting that the FAIC maps make more horsepower than other ones. Which is impossible since I haven't even run it yet.

So basically, he's a loser who is unable to accept when he is wrong and not intelligent enough to get the facts straight.

Also, he was probably in diapers in 1972 or he would have told me he was racing then.

And no retort can change that.

How did a discussion of maps turn into a dick measuring contest?
