Sorry to all you guessers,I hadn't had the time to post, but here it is Mikes best ET time was 10:26 @134 MPH,he was running most of the nite 10:30's to 10;50's at around 137 to 139 MPH.We made changes to the Map during the nite, his last pass was a 10:38 @ 138 MPH.The biggest problem we had was the bike makes such great power that it was still coming up in 3rd gear, next time we'll have to strapp the front maybe use a lowering link or swing-arm extention.Mike said he was only using about 75% of the throttle, trust me he is a Great Rider and his bike is Very Fast.By the way we had a Great Time.We should have some Pictures, and a Video on my site sometime soon. Thanks for your interest. Jeffo

with a 300lb suited rider on a 100 degree day my stock bike ran 9.70@138mph .

i like hearing how great these bikes run and seeing them in my mirrors

and that be why your happy cuz you don't have a clue

You are quite correct. I don't have a clue. But the reason that I'm happy is because my bike is running INCREDIBLY well with this map. -bg

The beauty of bad is that he uses less words to let you know how much experience he ass up his sleeve, and notice how he does not give away much, because he learned the hard way and I think he's got something for you.

I know I've got something for you and if you are not complimenting that map with a sync....... INCREDIBLE Clue is you have no clue........ > YET!!!

You are missing the boat! FI amazes me with one tune after the other. Homeeee don't need no f'inn map!

Man my meter! Bet I have that over Jeffo big time I tap his throttle. Now tap mine. And it is not even close YET! ASk me how a stocker runs...

INN'CREDIBLE!!!!!

Hub u kan aks me how myne runs and I be a tellin ya dat it skarres me BUT I aint a beein u.

Simple version is what works for me may not be meant for you and vice versa. Jeff asked me where I like to play and I said bottom to mid. Darn guy gave me what I wanted and it worked. Got her dyno tuned then had to have the guy put 7000 and under back to the Jeffo map.

The answer here is not either/or. tuning with a map is important and makes a difference but it is not sufficient. Synchronising (sync-ing) them at idle is also important. a sync will yield a smooth idle, crisp and rapid throttle response. it ensures that the butterflies are in sync by measuring the vacuum of each cylinder at idle. If all cylinders inlets have the same vacuum (demonstrated by hub's vid with the 4 man tubes all aligned) then the butterflies are synchronised.

Couple a sync with a good map and there should be goodness allround.

I used to get all my carb bikes tuned by a wizard I once knew. and the result of tuning AND sync-ing was always sweet. ultra-crisp and smooth response, amazing low throttle torque (little twist = big bang), great economy. So it was the best of all worlds; slow poking was smooth end economical, rat bagging was constant smiles; no pops, burps, farts, mis fires.

Hey hub, in your vid, I recognised the manometer and what you were doing, but why where you using the vacuum gauge first?

OK, I decided to drop $50 to check his map and,,,,,
Not to bad,,, looks like his settings are a lot richer but my bike is super smooth on the bottom.
Haven't tried my secret top end track yet so no thoughts on the top end.

Mort thoughts later.

I just got back from a 20 mile ride after uploading the map Jeff sent me. I think it's the best $50 I've spent on the bike yet. The 14 is running smoother, has better throttle response and I have yet to hear a pop out of the exhaust after installing the map. I don't yet know what it did to my gas mileage, or if it's going to run any cooler at low speeds like he claims, as I've only done 20 miles with the new map, but I'll keep you posted.

How do you figure that Einstein?

You would have been changing your spark plugs that day.

I've been running the Jeffo map for at least two years now.NEVER had to change plugs.Runs cooler.Lots smoother(if that's possible with a 14)...and has gobs of power everywhere.I dare say....I've not crashed yet.Maybe he has some sort of "thou shalt not crash thy rocketship" mojo goin on that he includes at no charge in the small print.Hmmm...I'll have to check out his disclaimer..??????Who knew...and for only 50 bucks!!!! (and yes Kruz...I'm sorry yours didn't work out for ya...honestly).I don't even really like postin about his maps...cause I know they didn't work for some.

Sheesh Bad...2 riders..."same weight"..."brocks goodies"....one with a Jeffo map(the slow one ),and one with the "goodies".Well,ya said it yerself....1)the 07 ran faster2)the 09,slower.Three runs?So...I guess what your sayin here is.....the riders were in perfect form, their bikes tuned immaculately, and they did EVERYTHING exactly CORRECTLY for gettin the FASTEST time out of their....TWO DIFFERENT bikes.Okay...no problemo there.DOESN'T mean ANYTHING.Now...get Rickey Gadson to run those two bikes.Back to back....three runs each.I would just about bet my...well...not quite that far...but...you get what I'm sayin. Besides Bad...what are you even comparing the bikes to...any idea WHAT their times were like....BEFORE the Jeffo map and yer buddy brock's "goodies"?.Geez Bro...if yer gonna bash someone's work...at least KNOW what yer sayin!!!!

Besides...the Jeffo map deal should be made with some "goodies" on there.Pipes...stuff like that. You said....brock's goodies. What the heck does that mean?Nitrous!Sheesh."Goodies"...gearing?...timing advance?...trick shifter?...amped up fuel?...

Every forum I've checked out looking up Jeffo's maps performance...every one I saw....nothing but excellent gains across the board.Tell me HOW MANY TIMES ole Brock and Schnitz and the rest of em got their desired results WITH ONE or TWO or THREE attempts at mapping their 14's?Jeffo's maps are consistently a positive performance booster on the 14.NO QUESTION ABOUT IT.Are they DRAGSTRIP mapped....uhmmmm...I DON'T THINK SO

You're the Dragstrip guy...do YOU ride your dragbike on the street as your primary motorcycle?

i saw what i saw and thats a fact... jeffo maps better stay on the internet racing .. because in the real world they get their ass hammered ..i'd be more than willing to run my bone stock 08 with stock pipe and no pc against any jeffo tuned zx14 .. you jeffo people are like vmax owners always talking shit but never at the race track .. ..

the brock goodies were the streetmeg and pc3 with his map on a stock motor ...vs an 09 with a brock alien head and pc3 tuned by jeffo on stock motor .. about as even as they come mod wise ..

your statement was that the jeffo map had power everywhere .. but fact is it failed even when jeffo himself took a zx14 to the race track and ran worst than stock numbers ..

I'm going to give it a try. If its better, I'll keep it. If not, I have a working Brock's Street/Strip map that may be a little rich but overall is excellant.

I still don't know how anyone can do it without even seeing the bike, but then, I'm the one that wants to point out that every single ZX14 made since January 2008 has been mechanically and electrically identical, so why shouldn't FAICS be able to do that? Dunno...

Not gonna get mad about it though. Thats kids stuff.
