Insert is history, still no word on the missing hardware from 58 Cycle though. I hope they have better customer support than this.

My apologies romans, I forgot to measure the can. I'll do that when I get home this evening. You were right, the pipe is feather light, I hope that it holds up over the long haul, everything is very thin.

Haven't ordered the PCIII and map yet Romans, I'm planning to get the TRE 009 and Ignition module at the same time. I thought I'd wait to clear the Visa card of this months charges first. I've been spending money like I had a printin press down in the basement.

I'm sure it will. The guy I ride with has one on his zx-10. His bike is so low that every time he comes out of a wheelie the pipe gets beat off the pavement(TI makes different colored sparks, Lol). His has been going strong for over 3 years and counting. I'm sure this will not be our problem. 2 much $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to be doing that.

I would be happy with thin materials. The way i see it, you're paying for performance and that is worth the sacrifice of some durability. There's nothing practical about our bikes anyway. Go with exactly what pleases you most or do without is how i see it.

Romans, it is 18" measured from the beginning of the divergent cone (where the spring hook is) to the rearmost tip of the muffler outlet.

I could not find the 14" muffler listed in the parts breakdown in my manual. They show two part numbers for both the Race and Evo versions, carbon fiber or titanium muffler are the only options..

Wow, that akro is pretty!
That thing is gonna scare the shit out of you....

I have never been scared on a bike like I was on Nasty Bastard.... its a spooky unpredictable ride.
Not afraid of it, but definately aware and ready for the next suprise!

The zx14 is just so composed and stable at speed, and heavy on the frt.

Nasty Bastard is so light, twitchy, wheelie prone, and flickable that it can be really unnerving.
Going by oncomming 18 wheelers at 100 mph feels like they will blow you off the road, whereas the ZX14 is like a freight train.

A wicked ride for sure, but much more uncivilized.

I have a place ion Southern BC where I ride almost every year. We rent a place down there. There is a very narrow twisty canyon road alongside Okanogon Lake. West side road. More of a supermoto road, its quite tight with 50 mph hair pins, and switchbacks. If I lived there and that was in my back yard, I would own the zx10.
Unfortunately I live in the prairies, 100 miles from the rockies.
A straightliner is the bike of choice for me, one with long legs, long range, stability and comfort.
Perfect for a Turbo, its not uncommon to find a road with no traffic and straight for 5 miles.

Even stock my zx14 saw the speed limiter almost every day. :)

The uncorked zx10 is a wicked little bike, thats why I called him Nasty Bastard!

The 14 has never scared me either, OK, that's not quite true, a couple times I got into a corner way over my head and didn't know if I'd make it out the other side but that's not the bikes fault. Yea it's fast but it's totally calm in the way it delivers it's payload of ponies. The 10 is a thrill a minute by comparison, an that's bone stock. Makes my CBR feel like it's trapped in a coma!

The CBR is a gentleman, it gets movin plenty fast but there is no drama, no headshake, no hit in the power band anywhere. You never feel like you're on the edge on that machine, it gives you supreme confidence to push harder in the corners. The 10R makes me feel....well.....a bit nervous. The Ninja headshake is mild, just a wiggle of the bars but I think a damper revalve will cure that...besides it's kind of thrilling! With all the mods I'm planning it's going to be even more entertaining. Stay tuned!

I just got off the phone with Ivan and ordered all his goodies for my 10R, PCIII, TRE 009 and the Akrapovic Evo map. I'm going to hold off on the ignition module until I get some more funds. I can't wait to see how this thing runs now! BTW he has the Evo for a couple hundred less than I paid..........wish I'd checked with him first....oh well!

Kruz you got a pretty good bike collection going, might as well add the new R1 and GSXR1k to your stable. Then you will be finished.

LOL... I keep sayin I'm done but who knows what the future holds? I'm gonna blame this latest ZX-10 adventure on ArizX and Rook! J/K guys but when this thread started I wasn't even thinking about a ZX-10 but the more we talked about it....well....next thing I was headed for the local Kwack Shack and throwin money down. Once I get everything on there I'll give a performance review, Ivan says the low and midrange is going to blow me away... he claims better than my 14 and turns it into a wheelie monster...I have no reason to doubt his word.
