I say keep the bike and stick round here!!!!
I won't sell it on impulse. Selling the busa would seem weird. It's a new bike. The mods are like just off the shelf. Never been installed yet, sittin' in the boxes wrapped in plstic.
might not be worth it to go with your Lawyer..
Already wrote the $750 check. Signed, sealed and delivered, it's his....and if it takes more, with a reasonable assurance of success, I'll pay. Really can't afford to but The money is there. I'll buy back points as Willid mentioned---if the court will allow that. I know, I may be wasting money hiring an attorney who is going to do the same thing I could do......but I trust this guy knows his own town's system. This is important that I really do all I can to restore things to normal so the money is gone and well spent as far as I'm concerned. My f$%&ck up, I'll pay.
Tell you guys the truth.......even if my insurance goes through the roof, I would hang onto the busa and mod it and ride just one time. The 14 is set up perfectly. (BTW, if any G2 owners have that annoying little lag below 3500 rpm, Autotune cleaned that up for me in a jiffy) Maybe get a trailer and pull the bikes to Road America. Maybe I'd sell the bikes to a good friend who would let me ride once in a while. Heck, insurance may go up but I still have a class M license-- doesn't mean I have to own a bike--technically speaking. That's all getting way ahead of the issue.
What if you owned sport bike in a Country that just won this.
That would be rough, Rom. The parallel that was drawn between Liquor Prohibition and Sportbike speeding is starting to crystalize in my mind. I wouldn't have ever advocated the flip up lic plate but I see why it is a temptation to some people if the heat is on that bad.
