This pisses me off as badly as that Copper purposely changing lanes to get behind that bike guy in that other video posted a few months back.Purposely tailgated him...then hit him cause the bike guy was slowing to try and figure out...wtf to do with this cage on my ass...Yeah...stupid people.Cages AND bike guys.

What that cage driver 'should have done' was pull out that kickazz streetsweeper there from behind the seat..pop his ass out the door...and get busy cappin anyone who dared to approach his family and vehicle.Yup.Hell...they slashed his ass...no tellin what they might have done.Left him there on the pavement like Reginald Denny in the LA riots...nope....dude had every right to step on the gas.

are far as I can see.
Do not launch your SUV over a pack of Riders.
I doubt the initial bump to the first rider could not have been sorted out if he had pulled over.
I wasn't there but I doubt him and his family would have been murdered road side for the initial incident.
He was never murdered and did not have his family attacked once they did catch up to him after his epic mow down.
He got a kangaroo court sentence handed down.
The media and the police are turning this on the bikers as its seen as antisocial and they want public support to stop them from milling in huge numbers.

Get on it....

Well tough shit. The media is the message. Hand in your fucking cell phones. Call your buddies and meat me here is the cough-cough have planted a bomb near you and we are following him home he-he-he.

Last thing you want to do is pull someone out is like pulling out your wee-wee. Move on or so say ye judge, who threw the first threat and the first punch? Push is battery, punch it's assault, right? Now the other guy is so freaked out, use is dead you didn't see the stand your ground/I feared for my life.

So you take your line and now say come catch me you want more. And then you suck them so they crash and who's fault is that? Liv'Inn on the raggedege.

This is link to my local forum and what they think if your after more reading. The thread also contains more footage from the same guy that's been deleted from his you tube accounts.

Motorcyclists are a minority group.
The behaviour of a small percentage of any minority will leave the majority group with the impression that the said group is all bad.
Things like this leave me feeling let down and also like the world is watching what I do.
This kind of behaviour should never be encouraged or condoned.
I hope no one thinks pack riding of this nature is acceptable. It does us no favours.

1400 the media's negative portrayal of bikers...
I've just taken it as gospel, if I get pulled over for an incident I am sure no matter what play by play was reported the citation will read that the biker was at fault!!!

Lol!
Taaarue,
How ever by getting out it takes the focus of my family and I could concentrate on taking out a couple of dudes before the lights went dim! Either way the dude in the cage, was clearly out to use that suv to take out the motorcyclists. And the media is on the cagers side? Not surprised but I don't think the cager should be let off. He hit six dudes!

According to witnesses, the SUV driver was cutting riders off and forcing his way up through the group. The first guy who was hit was trying to slow him down. No one was threatened until after he ran over more bikes and riders and then took off. Even when he got his ass beat, his family was never threatened.

The idea that these dumbass (mostly) kids are "gangstas" and should be treated like outlaw bikers or organized terrorists is a product of the media frenzy surrounding all such mass motorcycle rides and events. Yellow journalism at it's finest.

First off in that situation it is better to let one idiot go through if he feels the need to get pass rather than tryin to slow him down with a 350 pound bike!! In my road captain days I would have had my "pack" in order in the first place so traffic would be the last thing I worried about, second the driver for what ever reason showed no patience with this unruly pack, maybe his fear of bikers in general, his protective instincts were in order as I would have feared for my family but in my mind I would have never put them in harms way in the first place! There is usually a diplomatic way to handle situations. These bikers would have most likely let him pass if he showed a little biker respect, for lack of a better term, as I can see they clearly did not want to hurt him or his family because if they did all would have gotten hurt not just him. They just wanted him to be careful and slow down. The flip side is they should have had the same respect for the streets and traffic and should have not had the attitude that they can take over said street or area just because there are a lot of them (young idiots)! There is a way we should all handle these machines regardless of skill in certain situations and realize there is a time and place for everything!

"I doubt the initial bump to the first rider could not have been sorted out if he had pulled over"...he DID pull over..stopped...you saw what happened.Would YOU stay parked with a bunch of guys with helmets tryin to break yer windows? With your family in there?Media didn't 'portray' anything except what actually happened.Look at it.They acted how they acted...it wasn't staged to give bikers a bad rap.Hard to believe that SUV guy is being crucified here.Think about it...that cage guy has NO idea what's going to happen once they start descending on him.NO IDEA.It's easy here to say...he should this or that. They did what they did...he responded...fearing for his family's safety and his own.

"I have my family in my cage and I feel threatened. I simply park the car and clutch my friendly tool under the seat"...how about..."I have no way to defend myself other than fight,I'm way outnumbered,I don't have a 'tool' under my seat...here they come...geez...wtf now?...they're gonna murder me right here, then kill my family cause they're mine"...guys...Mr.Cruz there kicked off the whole shebang.Whether the SUV was "in the way" or not.WTF they ridin like they were anyway? No wonder it happened.Lots of pissed cage riders that day...out for a Sunday drive with the fam....then this shit.Almosr all those riders were behaving illegally drivingwise. The public just has to 'suck it up'?BS.I love riding...going fast...all that. But you can't just bully people in cages cause you can roll at lightspeed.

They guys on the bikes created this....not the cage drivers.

For one thing...the emergency lane is for just that...emergency vehicles getting to the scene or hospital...with YOUR family. They give a shit about that?Apparently they think their disregard for other's is fine...long as it's not one of them.

"The media and the police are turning this on the bikers as its seen as antisocial and they want public support to stop them"...they don't have to stop anything...these guys just need to get their 'road rules' straight before they head out and drive like idiots.Mr Cruz 'should have' just kept on riding and having fun with his buddies....purposely trying to create a dicey situation is...well...he asked for it.

"Either way the dude in the cage, was clearly out to use that suv to take out the motorcyclists"...fuckin right he was..AFTER they swooped on his ass and started tryin to bust in.Look at it.You'd just sit there and let em have their way?Jump out...start a fistfight...get knocked out...then what...wife and kid at the mercy of these fools? Not me.

Interesting...what's bein said here.Lots of hatred goin out towards the cage community....and isn't it supposed to be the other way around...the bikers are the victims? If you've been riding for any length of time...you KNOW people in cars are NOT normally tuned in to bikes...fact.Why should they be....?I mean..yes..they should be...but the simple truth is they're not.Bikes are hard to see.Hard to judge the speed of a bike.Cagers make mistakes....bikers get hit. They're not hitting bikers intentionally. If ya know this...then ya give the cages some leeway.Think ahead.Prepare for the possible. What if YOUR wife was driving a cage and made a left turn in front of a biker and hit him?Or your son or daughter? It's hard for a non-bike rider to judge the oncoming speed of a bike...it just is.Would you condemn her?The fact is...bikes are difficult for the average driver to anticipate what's gonna happen.Add acellerated speeds...above traffic flow...it's a dangerous mix...cages aren't ready for that. They're busy following the rules(mostly). And talking on a cell phone or texting while driving ought to be just a serious as drunk driving IMO.It ought to be outlawed for sure.It is here in some places...finally.

In a perfect world...it would be different...but it isn't perfect.Bike riders are responsible for watching out for themselves...we actually have the advantage. That 'should' make us better riders...you have to think like a cager.Nothing wrong with that. They can't be expected to think like a biker...we're the ones choosing to ride bikes.

“If you're afraid - don't do it, - if you're doing it - don't be afraid!”

When I'm out riding...if a cage approaches from behind...and I'm doing at or a bit below the speed limit...I wave em around...and give em room.No problem...they appreciate it.Normally get a nod or a wave of thanks out of em as they go by.Sa'll cool.THAT's what give bikers a good rep.Makes those cagers think about bikes in a more positive way...that's what ya want...them to think about bikes as being 'part of'...not hate em and wish every one would crash.

Okay...you may now

I HATE gangs of bikes. I live in Harley country (western PA) and routinely get stuck behind groups of 20-50+ bikes. They take up both lanes of the highway so you can't pass, so I end up weaving my way through them. They get obviously pissed about it, but fuck them, I have places to be. I've been swerved at and brake checked and chased. It's the chasing that I enjoy... WTF, you're going 45 in a 65 blocking traffic, then you try to chase me for passing you? Like you have a chance of catching a ZX14 on that old tractor you're riding?

Unlike the SUV driver situation, which happened in NY where he couldn't have a gun, I'm almost always carrying... just like the rest of my ATGATT.

Small groups of bikes are usually fine, just putting along in the slow lane, but the large groups blocking everyone pisses me off. Makes us all look bad.

"I wave em around...and give em room"

+1 Grn, when I grew up that was known as 'common courtesy'... not so common these days. I have found on my trips to Vermont that the drivers are much more respectful to each other and bikers regarding moving over for faster vehicles. It's nice to see that.

If the authorities really want to cut down 'road rage', they should agressively deal with idiots that camp in the passing lane. There isn't much that annoys me more than that on my 110 mile/day commute.

You gotta admit...there's gonna be some animosity goin on from the cages when they have a bike passing em while they sit behind some slow ass driver and can't pass cause they're in a cage...Happens all the time.Just cause we have the means doesn't mean we can just do what we want....IMO anyway. And I'm VERY guilty of passing a line of cars...5,6 at a time going triple digits to get around em.They 'should' be doing the speed limit though....or pull off so others can continue on(that doesn't make me snow white however).Unfortuantely...there are a lot of unthinking drivers out there...and you know some of em relish holding up a line of cars behind em.I judge the traffic...and get around em all as quick as possible. But it is dangerous passing like that...you just never know when someone's gonna feel the same and pull out not knowing you're coming up at lightspeed.I don't waste any time when passing...get er done and get clear;)I've had a few start to pass ahead...when I'm rollin up in the other lane...it aint their fault.Just gotta be careful and think like they are.We 'get away' with a lot of dicey stuff while riding..I do anyway...stuff that's probably gonna bite me in the arse some day. This bike has the ability to make ya forget logical reasoning;)

Interestingly enough...there's some troopers who actually 'get that'....I know...I've been stopped by a few of em;)

No, the first guy who was hit brake-checked the SUV driver. Stupid.

Yeah, he really did. Let's face it - we here all know that group of guys were out stunting and fucking with people. When you do that, you run the risk of getting hurt. I simply cannot imagine how stupid you have to be to brake check an SUV on a motorcycle. The dude played stupid, and got got. Then they got butthurt because he did.

The driver even stopped then as he should have. But then the gang starts beating on his car and shit. Add in his wife and kid in there, and he did the same thing any smart person would have done - got the F out of there.

Not sure why those guys would even post those videos. Seems to me they completely exonerate the driver.

All I did was quote the witnesses who were at the s ene. Nothing excuses the pa k riding crap, but nobody deserved a broken leg or being in a coma and paralyzed just because some fu ker in a tank thought everyone should get out of his way. HE is the prick who should have pulled over and let the group of bikes dusappear into the distance rather than plowing through like the King of Shit. In my mind he deserved worse than than the petty ass-kicking he got. He should have been arrested for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.

I usually give a quick wave and nod to cars as I pass... just my little way of letting them know that I appreciate them "letting" me get by safely... Now those same cars are more likely to perceive those gestures as threatening... That's what is truly sad, IMHO... Be extra cautious out there friends.

Unfortunately, vids like this one will never get 1 million plus hits...
