I put just a light dab of wax on and barely wiped it on. Wiped it off and couldn't believe they were gone! I barely rubbed it and that's all it needed.

Awesome. They may come back after the wax wears out, of course but just apply wax again.

that Plexus visor cleaner stuff...it works REALLY GOOD on bodywork. You do have to buff it out though,at least one extra time. But it works great for givin her a nice clear sheen.

+1. Seems to leave a film behind but that buffs off and it shines like the dickens. It seems very similar to the black and pink spray polish that always seems to be changing names and slight changes in the formula too.

Gotta say though Rook...yer bike ALWAYS looks very good.Clean.Taken care of
Thanks, I do my best to keep up on it.

Hey, I'd still put my two fingers up against your titty milk pullers if it still takes a nipple squeeze to pull milk the old fashion way... Moooooooooooooove the **** over and let the kid [you knowho] at it.

Nice tool for occassional use. Looks cheap but if the cost is low, just what we need for once a year use. I didn't get a vaccupump cuz I felt it was too costly for how much use It would get.

Personally, I have no problem doing a bleed with just the lever and the valves. It is pretty easy and having no special tool other than a few hoses and a catch bottle is best for me.

We have to take the cap off the reservoir no matter what we use to bleed. That is where the real danger of brake fluid spillage is. Cover the surroundng area with a towel and have a pail of water near just in case.

Make sure you tighten that cap on the reservoir T I G H T ! ! ! loose and it will weep when the fluid gets warm/under pressure. Even if fluid is to proper level.

The problem with letting the air move naturally to the reservoir is twofold; First, the surface tension of brake fluid is higher than that of water, so the air bubbles tend to move slowly. Second, there are nooks, crannies, bends in the line, junctions etc. where the bubbles can stick rather than moving. this is why bleeding by hand can be a repetitious and painstaking process. Also, the air bubbles are sometimes emulsified (made smaller, more foamy) by the action of the cylinders and all, and the small bubbles are much 'stickier' for lack of a better word than a few large bubbles. If you 'gravity bleed' the system, which is opening up the lowest outlet and keeping the res full, the fluid will carry bubbles out at a faster flow rate than they can move upward. The best method would be pressure bleeding from the bottom of the system and continually emptying the res. Most of us don't have the equipment for that. Keep pumping.

Air = Rises. I am not going to fight air. I burp, air comes from the bottom up, I have a banjo bolt with air is old style, or I have a bleeder up at the master. There are my air pockets: nature is the tool at this end.

Debris = Gravity. I am not about to send debris UP the master. I do not fight gravity, nor air travel in liquid. Without gravity as the second tool, I could not opend shut the bleeder one time.

It's no wonder I continue to take the argument.

How about the more obnoxious way of explaining it. If you think I'm going to change my fluid, it's like shoving a hose up my ass and push it out the mouth kind of shit debris, my master is sure clean now.

I'm still burp'inn out the...

I guess you've never farted.

Danno, you gave me more thought about how Gearz is pumping the same mantra of reversediment as the industry does. I've seen plenty of crap inside brake parts in my day. Thinks like gray jelly kind of material behind the caliper pistons. Lets say that condition is happening as soon as you use the brakes but you can't see it yet. I'm not about to make my first bleeding service: pushing that jell up the lines?

So it's more the industry and Gearz for not thinking that shit out. Even those new parts being installed. They may send crap up the line, close one of two holes, and/or, lodge a piece in it; and here is brake drag ate your service. The more I think about it, the more shit I step in: does the industry have it wrong IMO.

This had nothing to do with your physics and bubbles, Danno. It's more about which direction I would avoid. No way am I pushing debris under that plunger in the master. All it needs is to be cut and dragged in that environment. The caliper piston hardly moves and would be safer behind there than in the master, we find it later meaning.

And as for never farting, you get to be my age, Danno, you follow the wisdom of those who've been there... "Never take confidence in a fart, you might shit in your pants."

If you havent sorted it by now, Ive found one method that may work for you( and I do use a mityvac as previous) is to remove the slave cylinder from the engine.
remove the lid from the main resevoir.
Slowly push on the slave cylinder end to reverse flow the fluid, it wont damage seals but be careful not to spill the fluid from the slowly filling resevoir. move the lever a little to help expel any lodged air this always works for me.
You may still have to bleed it under pressure as usual to get a perfect lever travel.

If the system is empty then try filling the resevoir. place a pipe on the bleed nipple on the slave and open it.
leave it for a while and watch the level drop on the main resevoir.......when he fluid level drops , refill it . do it a couple of times and hey presto the air will have gone.
As above to get perfect lever travel.

I have done these methods over the years and they both work....best of luck

grin, if I start with an "empty" system (no fluid), you're saying that by filling the reservoir continually, gravity will cause the fluid to drain out of the slaves opened bleed valve and force any air out??
Just want to be sure I understand. Seems very different from what I know of bleeding air out of a system. Air wants to go UP.

KAK, Say we pour liquid in a glass. The air rises as the liquid pours. What was in the line is now being displaced by the fluid. So fluid is purged from the top as well as out the bottom, you leave the nipple open, the line fills up, the master fills that void also. See how both air directions are being filled?

If you push liquid from the bottom up, air is going to travel in one direction we make the reverse move, obviously. If you stick with one flow, you can cover your own ass, someone takes a hose, shoves it up your butthole, reverse cleans your cavity. That's your typical 'clown move' up the ying-yang.

Laugh, cry, make the insult if one suggests to reverse the shit so those particles land in your cheek think: is reverse brake bleed. Shove something up their collective ass is so you can see the difference both in fluid flow as well as that possible contamination route: moving up the ying and fucking up the yang.

Do both work? Yes. Does one make more sense is that one direction?

Signed,
