Second time I have lost mine on the 14. I don't think taping it to the bottom of the seat is a good idea. Maybe I will find some kind of a pouch and hook it onto something under there. Any good ideas on how to keep the registration on the vehicle?

I keep all my registrations and insurance cards in my wallet. I never leave them with the vehicle. Somebody steals your bike or breaks into your car , they now have your name and address. I never keep vehicle papers with the vehicle.

Wallet. I keep a shrunken down copy of my registrations, and my insurance cards there. Cops haven't ever given me a hard time for having a copy of my registration instead of the original.
Funny you should mention this. I lost my wallet on the freeway today. :(

I knew most people would say wallet. I hate carrying a big fat wallet around. I use a money clip for cash and cards. I like the idea if a shrunken down registration but I can't see carrying one for each bike in my money clip. I guess there would be no harm in running off a bunch of copies right away in case one gets lost. All a registration is a copy off a printer anyway. Now I have to go online and pay a few dollars for a copy of my registration from my printer.
Wisconsin law states that the registration and insurance should be kept in the vehicle and an insurance card should be kept on your person as well. I believe I had a cop tell me that was a bad idea even though it is the law.

duct tape it in a ziploc to the inside top of your helmet, under the liner. I keep mine in my wallet, along with all my vehicle reg/ins. I always wear cargo pants, so my wallet is in the cargo pocket. Never had a cop say anything when I pull out my wallet for paperwork. Maybe they're hoping a bill will "fall" out.

The problem is having two bikes and several jackets and helmets. I like the "in the helmet" idea. Maybe I will make a copy for both bikes for every jacket and every lid. Just leave the originals at home. Kruz, with all your bikes, I don't know how you sit on that wallet.

I just have to remember to transfer it to whichever tank bag I am using.
Herein lies the problem. Solution: make a copy of everything and keep it everywhere. There's so much junk getting switched around even if you own just one bike.

Allett, the original thin wallet
You can't even feel it in your pocket.

I'm surprised this many of you actually have your bike registered and insured.

Wallet has my scooter documents, my cage documents, and my license to carry.
Might be my OCD but I keep everything I need for the day, in a line, when I get ready to leave the bedroom: wallet, fountain pen, mechanical pencil, work boots, authentic LABusas.oRg folding knife, Skoal Long Cut Straight,
and P3AT.

That's a nice wallet if you gotta carry one, jtemple.
I think I'm going to get a vinyl ziplock envelope, punch a hole in it and safety wire it under my seat. No way could that blow out of there. I'm still going with a copy of everything in every jacket too. Might even get the flat wallet and put copies in there. I'll never need to worry about loosing it again! This is the second time the damn thing has mysteriously disappeared and I don't remember seeing it for months. I assumed it was in a jacket pocket when I stored the bike last winter. From now on, it will be.

Insurance card in my wallet. I have never once in my life been asked for registration,so that's not a concern of mine.

Be careful with that "where the tool kit used to be." If you still have the box there, great but if not, even taping it down might not keep it from blowing out. At least I think that is what happened to mine a couple times.
