thanks, I am basically looking for something that will let people know that im there, but not get too much recognition from the police. I had termis on my Ducati 696 and they were pretty loud. dont know if you know what those sound like but im looking for something a little quieter than that.

You described what I wanted from the pipes to a "T" the Akrapovics fitted that category and my budget, added benefits were the weight loss and the absolute ease of mounting. Thus far I have been quite happy with them but now I wonder wether I should remove the flies and add the TRE008.
I am familiar with the pipes you had on your Ducati but these would be more like the deep sound from Vance and Hines on a Buell (the older Buells with a Sportster engine). If you hit the higher rpms with the ZX the pipes are louder but not obnoxious, in my opinion.

that sounds promising, which kind of akrapovic's did you get?
