Thanks to all that convinced me to go with the Black 2011, it is an AMAZING machine, waaaay better than my old GenIII I'n almost every way. I wouldn't have believed how much they improved this bike. Handling is superb, better than my 6R, light and flickable. Suspension is tons better than the old machine, plush but controlled. Gearbox is the best ever, short, light, accurate throws, even makes the 6R seem notchy. The new steering damper actually works now. Power is super smooth, not a bump anywhere in the delivery. There is almost zero vibration from the engine, smoother than a 14. I have re-evaluated the midrange, it's not bad at all. I think the final gearing is a tad too tall which makes the mid seem weaker than it is. With the super smooth power delivery and traction control turned on you can keep the throttle open in the corners. This bike is going to be fast, it's still tight but already it's displaying a lot of easy speed. I think I'm going to have the ECU reflashed and leave it alone. My buddy Art had his reflashed and it went from 165 rear wheel HP to 180...with stock exhaust. That is insane! Looks wise, she's growing on me, just need to ditch that hideous back fender/license plate thing and bolt on an undertail. I've already forgotten about my old 10R, new one is that good! One jiggle, the stock windscreen is flimsy and flaps like a birds wing... Can you say Zero Gravity?
