The 2011 looks way cooler than that 2010.Lots more you can do with yer 2011 as well.Cassette trans.ECU flash.Fuc$%r flat out goes!Black is nice.Green makes the fairing work and styling show more IMO.It IS styled much better IMO.

The pictures blue has posted above look so much better than the pics of the bike in full street trim like the one below. The tail actually starts to look pretty good on the '11 once you take the fender off. Still a bit small but it is peaky like the front and flows w the rest of the design. If you want another green bike then get a 2011. If you go with a 2010, best to stop reading up on the latest bikes.

Kruz, I would try to ride one at a dealer demo day. Those are happening this time of year. If you are not thrilled by the 011 zx-10 then go with the 2010. You're dealer pal should be able to get you on a demo zx10.

2nd, best way to swallow the hook deep lol. Hey wait, I thought you have already been out on your buddies ? I remember you telling us how sweet the transmission was " better than the 6R " That one was a shocker,,, yup, 2011.

Truly....I "think" the 2011 10r is a better bike than previous versions.I would like to ride one.My dealer has one.Hmmmmmmmm?

I would probably ditch the stock wheels...for the spoked ones...whatever those are.I'd keep the brakes though.Stock exhaust would need to go as well.

Well, my local dealer has not returned any of my e-mails after I made them an offer on the Lime green/White 2010 so I'm guessing they want to keep that unit gathering dust for a while longer...maybe their thinking about opening up a motorcycle museum?? Weird that they don't even call me and make a counter offer. The dealer down in La Marque won't leave me alone, I guess he's missed a few meals, always a great motivator.

Not one to sit around, I called the guy that sold me my ZX-6R last year and I have him working on a dealer transfer of an '11 Non-ABS in Ebony Black. I guess I could get used to the ugly face if the price was right. Don't know how this story is going to end...stay tuned!

Yup Romans, I rode my buddies 2011 and came away mightily impressed with everything but the lack of a midrange hit. Tranny was like buttah, suspension near perfect, handling to make an instant hero out of just about anyone.....but nothing down low, nada, zip. I think the 6R could pull it in a low speed rollon.

Kruz...you can get that midrange deal sorted out...that ecu has the user capability to be reprogrammed.A nice pipe...pcIII(may not even NEED one on there)...you'll be smokin in no time!She's got that cassette style trans...for advanced gearing.SWEET!

I don't even know if I'm going to get a new bike, so far, no one seems very interested in selling me anything except a dealer that is 300 miles away. It's bizarre, the guy I bought my 14R, 10R and 6R from isn't returning my phone calls. I thought being a loyal customer, he'd go to work for me but I located an '11 in Ebony without the ABS and called him to do a dealer transfer. He said he'd look into it and never got back to me. On the 2010 SE, the local dealer has not responded to multiple e-mails, I guess he didn't like my offer but that's bad salesmanship not to at least follow up a hot lead like that. they can always maek a counter offer. There has apparently been a paradigm shift in sales of motorcycles. It used to be the game was moving units, a lot of units. Now with the supply dried, up the dealers seem to be hanging on to every last nickel since they don't know when they'll get another unit in.

Hi Jafo, I think I'm done with black bikes, I had really bad luck with that last one...LOL! Anyway, I finally got the local dealer to talk to me and he's going to work me a comparable deal on the 2010 I like in the Lime Green/Stardust White. I know the 2011 is a better track bike but the '10 is actually a better street ride, less focused and more broadband power. Besides, at the end of the day you have to like the looks of what you buy. Heading over there after work to hopefully seal the deal, I'll let you guys know how it turns out and post up some pics.

Well Jafo, I guess I lied to you, I ended up buying an Ebony Black 2011 ZX-10R this evening. Rode it home about two hours ago. Was heading out to buy the green '10 when I got a call from Kawasaki City. They wanted me to come get my bike. I was shocked, he'd already done the dealer transfer and was waiting on me to come get it. How could I refuse? I rode over on my cruiser, bought the 10R and rode it home. Cruisers still in their service department, will pick it up tomorrow. It all happened way to fast, my heads still reeling. I will get some pics and post up ASAP.

Thanks to all that convinced me to go with the Black 2011, it is an AMAZING machine, waaaay better than my old GenIII I'n almost every way. I wouldn't have believed how much they improved this bike. Handling is superb, better than my 6R, light and flickable. Suspension is tons better than the old machine, plush but controlled. Gearbox is the best ever, short, light, accurate throws, even makes the 6R seem notchy. The new steering damper actually works now. Power is super smooth, not a bump anywhere in the delivery. There is almost zero vibration from the engine, smoother than a 14. I have re-evaluated the midrange, it's not bad at all. I think the final gearing is a tad too tall which makes the mid seem weaker than it is. With the super smooth power delivery and traction control turned on you can keep the throttle open in the corners. This bike is going to be fast, it's still tight but already it's displaying a lot of easy speed. I think I'm going to have the ECU reflashed and leave it alone. My buddy Art had his reflashed and it went from 165 rear wheel HP to 180...with stock exhaust. That is insane! Looks wise, she's growing on me, just need to ditch that hideous back fender/license plate thing and bolt on an undertail. I've already forgotten about my old 10R, new one is that good! One jiggle, the stock windscreen is flimsy and flaps like a birds wing... Can you say Zero Gravity?

No Looking Back

Congrats Kruz on the new 10. I have the Yosh R77 and the re-flash from Dynotronics. The bike gets even smoother and rips after Joe works his magic. The Yosh really helps the mid-range (10 hp) and with the re-flash fueling appears spot on for the Yosh - no PC needed. I been on my 14 for the first time in two months, yesterday. The new 10 is really that good.

I hear ya, I'm planning on doing some miles I'n the morning on my new 10, absolutely brilliant bike. I can't believe the bike rags panned it. Is the Dynatronics reflash the same as the Euro spec ECU?

This is really awesome news. I'm so glad you went with the new ZX-10. If you find youself missing the 08, you could buya used one for cheap[ if you want. Wish i could write more about this -- I am really excited for ya bud but these double shifts I have are eating up all my time. I need to get some sleep but I want to hear more about it. I can't help it, i'm nodding off.

Kruz, The Dynotronics re-flash is not the "Euro" ECU code. The "Euro" ECU still has ignition retard in the lower gears, speed limiter (186) and some missing advance up top. Joe corrects all of these conditions as well as matches the fueling to your specific mods. Joe will make changes to your code if you add any other mods later on and will fine tune your code if you send a print-out from a dyno run - at no added cost.
