Get er on a stand...remove the axle(slide it over..the threaded tip flush with the bearings. You will need to take the caliper all the way off to do it.....Slide the slot onto the swingarm block in there...all the way in.Slide your axle all the way across now...into the caliper hole and swingarm axle hole..Recheck everything.Make sure your axle alignment is still okay...then retighten that axle nut...cotter it of course.I just hope you didn't somehow bend your rotor?....You'll know soon enough I guess.BEFORE you RIDE...pump the rear brake lever several times to get the pressure back up.

MAKE SURE the axle is fully seated on the OTHER side...with the adjuster block fully seated againt the swingarm...and the axle sitting in the adjuster block all the way.Same with that other side...the brake side.Your spacer is in that side(the hub spacer)...yes?Make sure it is....to the inside of the caliper hole.Hub...spacer...caliper...swingarm.. adjuster block..washer...lock nut...cotter pin. That's how it should be.You might want to put something UNDER the tire to support the axle/wheel from dropping down while the axle is out of that right side swingarm hole...I would.

Hey Chuck did you just put a new tire on the back? That's really odd to see the caliper flipped in the up position! Good luck with the fix.

Who was the last person to re-install the rear wheel?
Its obvious whomever that was they didnt get the slot on the caliper bracket to engage the tab on the swingarm.

Let me guess: you had the rear tire changed... they gave you back your scooter... you hit the road and the first time you
hit the rear brake you hear/feel THUD!

Brake fluid is escaping?!?!
DO NOT RIDE THAT SCOOTER!!!

Either the brake line is ruptured or the caliper casting is cracked... or both.

does the brake fluid use go on both front and rear or are they seperately fed?

They are separate circuits.
The rear brake reservoir is under the seat.

Hagrid wrote..."Its obvious whomever that was they didnt get the slot on the caliper bracket to engage the tab on the swingarm"...yes...it COULD happen...it could. It rotated with the wheel rotation(when the brake was applied)...so ya...it happened IMO.And yes...it WOULD thud pretty bigtime once it smacked that swingarm.

It looks to me like there may be some damage to the bottom arc of the rotor there...some gouging or something. You might do well to get that rotor checked as well...If it's bent...yer gonna have even MORE problems.
