Well, looks like the best way to stay off the back is ride. Sit in a car, that seat is going to give you problems. This is like a crutch or wheelchair... This is what you recover in... A zero gravity chair. Once again, no one listens to turtle. Be in pain at your own risk is that recovery time window.

Edgecrusher, find some peace brother, the roads to recovery can be a bit rough so engage 4x4 and take no prisoners

Geez....sorry to hear about your back deal.I didn't know of course that was injured, till now.Ya....go easy with that one my friend. You DO NOT want to damage that disc any further. It COULD heal up now just fine. And most likely will...long as ya don't stress it.Gonna take several weeks though...they don't have much healing bloodflow going through em.So try to be patient.Sorry...not trying to tell ya what to do.

lol hubster, the wife just came home with a couple of those today to use in our RV. You think they would help the back?

yeah, I guess this is what I get for complaining a little about the cast slowing me down. Back is REALLY slowing me down.

It's weird, I get a nasty tightness and pain when I move a certain way right between where the upper leg bone attaches to the pelvis (mid cheek) down the side of my thigh to the side of my knee. Like a super tight hamstring. And I've got pretty big hams so it takes the breathe outa me when it hits. No amount of stretching or rubbing makes it go away which is why I figured it really had nothing to do with actual damage to my leg. It's on the opposite side of where I had bruised me hip. I just hope this guy I went to knows his stuff because this feels serious and I don't need to waste time on this. He supposed to so I just gotta do what he says and take it easy which seems easier said than done, especially for me.

I think I'm begining to understand how bean felt all that time. So glad he's back in the game cause this shit sucks.

I'm not even gonna say anything about how I need to go to the gym. Too much ice cream therapy. lol

Take some aspirin to 'thin your blood' just a wee bit,it'll help get the blood flowing around those injuries much better. That's what ya want...more blood flow. They're not open cuts,so worrying about hemmoraging is not a problem.

Ok will give that a try. Wish I could see it healing just so I know it's getting better.

Having fun surfing for new gear on Revzilla today. I got 2500 buckaroos to outfit myself and the bike the way I want. It's hard deciding what to blow my wad on. Want to upgrade exhaust but dunno if a HD is worth a Full system or just save my money and get slip/ons. Also want to get some new gear with lots of armor without looking too sporty.

Go to sleep in that thing then. Claim jump on one. Wake up in the morning, get out of it real slow... See what happens. You have one night... One night is all... You are getting sleep pee... Watch the throttle cable open the butterflies...

Some old bone crusher may not explain about how beneficial pool water is, but rather churn you in the office. I'd find water deep enough to float in, so it will relax that strain. What kind of whack would not bring that up? This is shamanshit. Like, shit, you crash enough you begin to know your body. You know what works and WOT will not.

Shamanshithe Pavement Recovery 101:

1. Sleep on the zero gravity to rest.
2. Use pool noodle(s) under crotch to float upright.
3. Begin core (as if it would help) work or as someone stated where no blood circulates is to move that lower part but in a stationary float.
4. Forward strokes then backstrokes. Mild kicking if no pain present. If so, hand strokes only.
5. Feel better weeks/months gone by? Swim without noodle. If pain persists, used fuckedup boy!

Class dis mist in the eyes. You'll never be the same it goes withe sport shad up already! Ass long yours is not in a wheelchair... Back on the bike. If you can crawl to the bike and ride it...

Try and stop me!

Not saying anything against the advice given, but I'll add mine. Take it from someone with 2 missing discs (absorbed burst discs), 2 herniated, 2 bulging.... don't do anything fancy for a while. Maybe a whirlpool, some easy stretching, but give it a few weeks. Just climbing into/out of an inversion table, or out of a hot tub for that matter, can cause more damage. I'm not saying get a wheelchair, just watch the bending and twisting real careful, and don't lift anything heavier than a gal. of milk. Squat, don't bend, and no jumping. Give it 2-3 weeks, and then start limbering things up slowly. There is no blood flow to a disc. It will either seal again, or it will leak out. How did he determine the disc is torn? Did you get an MRI? No way to tell without it really. Pain down the back of the leg is a symptom of a pinched nerve, and can be caused by a few things.

I'd have to agree with alg8er's comment on the extra damage. Something I may not have mentioned; You have to crash a lot to watch how your body mends/heals/pushing/limits. The shaman comes out in you. I'd match water on wounds than most ointments for healing. Don't take my advice. Lucky no one listens to turtle. And algee, man, I say... Boobs... There is always someone more F'dup than you.

I think I'll suit up and go for a brakeFAST ride WOThe heck. Nut'inn Honey will stop PIT! Right, Al? Life goes the F on.

Are we the jump back on kind of guys? I think Al is. I am. Time heals and time will tell, Boobie.

Sorry to hear about the little off there, Crush. Sheesh, I have been wondering why I haven't been seeing a lot of your posts any more. I guess I should start checking all the sections of the forum.

Well, glad you made it through that with no damage to your body and the bike??? well, everything there is replaceable. Time lots of reasons to go with better aftermarket items.

I'd start with the crankshaft cover. Replace it and then check the engine out. If it is running fine, that is the biggest item off the list. Then the fairings. Looks like you can do a DIY repaint. Not as nice as the custom work you have but worth a try as all it will take is sand paper and rattle cans. Then dump the dual scuba tanks.

Wow rook you don’t know yet but edge did get hurt broken wrist and torn disk in his back giving him pain down his leg and as for his bike insurance totaled it. Now edge wants to get a Harley-Davidson and wear a dew rag under his helmet and ass less chaps!

Laugh it up fuzz-ball! lol
At this point there is no longer a 14 in my paddock. It took 'em awhile but after a few days of dripping oil in my driveway and me wondering if maybe I got lucky and they forgot about my bike, Crashedtoyz.com came with a flat bed and picked it up. Sat her right next to a well mangled Busa from down the street which I thought was rather ironically fitting.

I ended up taking everything of value off that bike and even got some sentimental items like the front fender with my custom painting just incase some Harley douche doesn't feel like believing me someday.

I don't expect everyone to care what happened or notice for that matter. I have noticed the peeps I cared about most here have said their peace which means alot. I really miss keeping up on zx14nijaforum.com. I have yet to find a V-twin forum that is it's equal. Totally different crowd. It's all about looks and attitude with them which you'd think the edgecrusher could get into but I get real bored with out some performance talk. Can't even have a good ole fashioned oil preference rant with them because they're all brainwashed into thinking Harley Davidson Motor Oil is all a Harleys will run on like there is no alternative (almost as funny as Amsoil types but sadder, in a more pathological way, lol).

Yes. I have a Harley now. It's a '04 Electra Glide Peace Officer model with all 88 big ci's. I haven't even looked up the horsepower rating because I'm afraid I may not even want to try riding it once I get this cast off next week. Not much can equal the excitement I had on the 14 for the last two years. I recently explained this to my wife just so she'd understand better what I was going through. My wife is very supporting when it comes to my bike sickness. At this point in time, I'm sure she's glad that bike is at the salvage yard and not on my lift, however. I told her about what made the accident "OK" to me and not a black mark on high powered sport bikes. Someday, I WILL have another and it may be even bigger by then. I also told her about my conversations with all of you here and about how the risk is accepted not feared.
She then said the nicest thing she could have said to me ever. If that accident had taken my life, she said she would have fought tooth and nail to make sure everyone understood I went out doing something I loved and for people not to feel sorry for me. She also let me know that she has also come under the gun and has had to be on the defensive when people want to be overly critical of what I do. You see, I live in a pretty conservative community and everyone thinks your obligated to hear their sermon about your lifestyle. But like my wife says, opinions are like assholes....

I just wish I could find a Harley touring exhaust 'shootout' somewhere...I don't think I can handle an upgrade just by looks alone! :)

edit: NM just found it ! lol

Ya don't have to chuck the forum on the flat bed with the ZX14, other guys have HD, or have had experience with the HD farm tractors in the past.
Not going to bother anyone if you still make this home, certainly not me.

Hub has been a HD man from way back , don't get him started up on this, he may want to go drag racing with you, I'm sure he'll cover a lot of the tec if you need it.

Besides just think of all the HD jokes we can through at you.

Thanks, guys. I'll always be lurking. I have that RSS still up on my toolbar. I'll chime in when ever I come up with something relevant to say (or to harass the Amsoil guys when I'm bored, hehe)

Thanks for the HD tips Blue.

I just pulled the trig on a Rinehart Full truedual setup for about 3 bills under list. My buddy has em too. They're real classy lookin and Nascar inspired so me likey. They also have bungs so I can add PCV and Wideband in the future.

Just have to see if how it runs in the meantime with the stock map...
