The new 2011 Green/Black just isn't doing it for me. What is it with KHI's styling department??

I always thought the 14 looked at it's best in solid colors, the Atomic Silver looked very classy. Well at least they didn't go with those cheesy flame decals this time.

That is not a good color scheme. They have run out of ideas and are working with old stock.
BTW, I am seeing lots of 14s out there. Have seen about 6 of them out on the road this summer. Have only seen about 2 busas.

The Euros always get the cool stuff while we seem to get the left overs.

What I would call a "parts bin special" for sure. To be fair though, it might look better in person. I sure wish they would re-introduce the original '06 Passion Red but with red lower fairings, that'd look pretty sharp. I'd buy a set of the lowers if they matched my paint.

I don't know.. I think the green is nice. I wonder what mine would look like with the green Foreman grills and lower cowling?
The green is fine, I just wasn't wild about how they combined it with the black on the '11.... but it may grow on me. The green lowers would look good on your bike but I'd personally want to keep the G.F. grills black.
Too bad KHI wont do a 14 Special Edition in the original Kawaski Racing Lime Green. That would be bad azzzzz for sure.
BTW Erik, you gotta get rid of those bazookas and put some Yoshis or Muzzys on there, maybe in black or carbon fiber.....sweeeeet!

I'm with most of the rest of you, not crazy about the black/green mix version. Maybe if the black had just the green/silver Ninja side panel sticker and nothing else, might be cool.
But, it looks to me like no manufacturer got real inovative on their color schemes this year. The '11 Hayabusa colors leave me dissapointed too. Off white/brown, along with a black/red version that reminds me of a '65 Galaxie 500 (black, w/red interior) scheme. You have to look real close at a Yamaha R bike to see the change in the blue/white %s. Honda brought back the Repsol 1000 yet again, to go along with the standard issue red/black.
So far, the black 14, with it's slight red and white (silver?) pin striping, is the eye catcher of 2011 for me.

Since when did the '06 come in orange-red? You gotta really think about laying off on that hash pipe 1Bad, it's affecting your eyesight!
Here's the original '06 Passion Red from the brochure, I don't see any orange in there:
Here's the 2010 Red, also nice:

Seeing things from all angles usually enhances the appearance of anything. We've always talked about how the 14 is not the most photogenic bike. Photos don't often capture how impressive looking it is in life.
