^^Haven't seen any posts from the Hubmeister for a while. I think he's on hiatus and out of all of the forum goers i know, he deserves it most. That guy can rack up a hell of a post count in a few months and we are not talking short blurb posts either, are we. I'm sure he won't be able to stay away for ever. Look forward to hearing from him again soon.

Looks like Hub wound up over here.

Doesn't sound like he's coming back. Anybody know, or at least willing to tell, what happened yet????
Seems like Kruz and several others have gone MIA as well.

I don't trust anyone who "piles on" when someone's having a problem.Having an argument is fine-that's cool. But the blasting that was occurring was outta line totally IMO.Change the name or face-could be you or me being the target.Don't think that's what a forums' intended to be myself. It's not "kidding around" when people are purposely attacking others without reason.Actually,he got cut A LOT of slack-WAY more than he gave to "someone who shall remain nameless".And we were only sharing our experience.Anyone blast him for basically calling all of us that had a good experience a bunch of jerks that didn't know S#%$ about how our bikes should run.Insulted-yeah,I was-and I wasn't alone either.Okay-ya-it's "just" a forum-I understand that.Still-my reason for being here is to get and give experiences pertaining to my zx14 ownership experience,be cool with people, and not slam someone else for THEIR experience.Go over to the "how to" section and look at the post about "finding codes" for your bike. Some new guy reads that and it just goes You want to find out what's wrong with yer bike, and how to fix it if possible-not hear some jive about this wire and that wire and...........well,you understand. These bikes are EXPENSIVE to fix as we all know-why not give someone else the straight shot if it's gonna save em some money and headache(not to mention taking it to a dealer and not having a CLUE as to what you're trying to explain). His explanation was valid-yes-but his reference to the cam sensor was a direct cut at me-it turned out to be the timing wheel.I would have thought that with all his vast knowledge-he could have suggested "timing" maybe just in passing?Had he mentioned that-I would have immediately checked my timing wheel. After my mechanic found the loose timing wheel,it made sense to me why my bike was acting as it was.And why it was throwing a cam position sensor code.So I learned something very valuable out of that experience.Stock bikes PROBABLY wouldn't have that problem ever happen. But all the guys who have aftermarket timing advancers might save themselves a lot of downtime and frustration knowing what that was.IF my bike ever starts acting like that again-I know exactly what to check FIRST.

Hub once told me that if it isn't a factory fit then f**k it. I guess he doesn't practice that.
Ya, but we all know that Hub played with his bike 24/7 looking for more power. I'll bet trying to fix that bottom end hole. At any rate he would never come clean on the subject.I tried to get this out of him a few times. Stock his bike was NOT.

Did Kawi have a new design recently-I see Hub's bike has a BIG airfilter on it,as well as a different headlight. Looks like Kawi decided that the front fenders were allowing too much heat buildup,so bye bye to those. And those pesky tank cover wellnuts-ya-no worries there now-just get rid of the covers-no more losing those things in the airbox.Thank God Kawi finally got that right! And the pink tank grip supplied with each new model-doubles as an airbox plug-quite the biz!She ought to really cut the air now without all that "clunky" bodywork on there.Imagine the time saved now when working on er.No need anymore for replacing rear brake pads-she now comes standard without rear brakes and ALL THAT EXTRA WEIGHT.Guess they finally figured it out that anyone ever using a rear brake knows nothing about braking, and shouldn't be riding something this powerful to begin with. That should save on fatalities.

YA, yeah but hUB was full of all sorts of nifty little pointers. Who knows how to get every last drop of fuel out of the tank? Who knows about the why you don't want to tighten down your airbox covers too tight? Who knows how to make your header gasket stay in place when changing exhaust?? Sometimes Hub was full of sh!t but he definitely had some of the simplest and most brilliant tricks of the trad to offer as well. I'm sure we will survive without him around here but I, for one, miss the guy.

But it's OK to trash Hub though huh?
Guys:
It's probably my fault that Hub is gone and that Kruz has been away for so long. I've not had any personal communication with either of them, but a while back, while all that trashing of Jeffo was going on, I deactivated a few threads that seemed to have nothing in them but trash.
Hub and Kruz were playing a big part in this, and I suspect they were offended when the threads disappeared, so I wasn't surprised when they went missing.
There is always some "trashing" of people in a forum, and I'd rather there was none, but I don't have anything to say about it. The only thing I can do is to get rid of it when it gets out of hand.
I probably wouldn't have intervened at all if I hadn't had such a great experience with a Jeffo map myself. It was as big a change as I experienced after removing the flies on my 07, and may of you can relate to that.
I agonized for several days over this before I deactivated these threads. I'm still not sure that was the right decision, but I saw someone who had provided me with a valuable service (yes, even though it doesn't make any sense that what he is selling should be worth anything) being attacked by people who were totally without experience with him or who had not followed through to see if he could make right what they had received from him.
I don't mean to restart the discussion about Jeffo's maps. The poll right now has 9 in favor and 2 against, and the 2 against were probably the ones who gave up on him and didn't give him a chance to make corrections for them.
Anyway, I'd rather that there be no trashing of anyone here. I think there is less of that here than on many other forums, and I'm thankful for that.
Hub: If you are reading this, please come back. Most of us here value your participation very highly.
Kruz: I hope that wasn't an isolated message and that you will return as well. I've gotten a lot from your posts for many years and I miss not seeing them here.
I'm sorry if I offended anyone by removing those threads, but I felt it was something that needed to be done. I guess the buck has to stop somewhere...
Thanks to all of you who are (still) participating in the forum. -bg

The buck stops with you, bg. Someone has to make the call at times. I think your choice to delete the thread was reasonable. It was past the point of getting ugly. The opinions were stated in both camps and there was no point in continuing to argue.
I second the motion to request the participation of Kruz and Hub once again. Both of you guys added a lot to the site. You're both 14 owners from 06 when it all began. In my mind, you guys are synonymous with the ZX-14.
