ROOK-you still have yer 14 doncha?Aren't you riding?

Mimi is waiting out in the garage. I'm giving it another few weeks and I think she will be back on the road. I'm going for 20K miles this season. Well, we'll see about that.

Ride her stock until you master the beast a little. then you can spend your bucks in places were you will get the best value and gains

Makes sense but I wish I would have gotten something on there to at least improve the sound sooner. 10,000 miles was a lot of riding without the joy of an aftermarket exhaust. IMO, if you are going to wait that long, just get any used system you can on there if it's really cheap. The best way to choose mods is to go REALLY cheap and used or new and BEST. If you go used, plan on ditching it some day. Don't buy expensive new stuff that you will feel like you have to upgrade.

If they had just opened the tank a little more on the sides they could have kept the shape and still got 3 or so liters more . But for most people its not an issue. Down hill in angel gear or throttle off engine brakeing to get 99 mpg I'd probably end up in the bushes looking at the screen so I'll take your word for it Blue.
Rook not sure how loud yours is, but I have a UHF radio com's bike to bike , so do other 14's that I ride with not sure if my deaf old ears could handle the noise and still hear the com's. I like to do long distance runs the noise would drive me nuts.
