Dave, cool, thanks, I'm calling tomorrow. If it does not work out, I'll just go with basic liability 2200 and just call on the Saint that protect's bikes. My wife tell's me Saint Joseph is a good one.

I'll shoot you my contact info in the meantime Dave...

Yeah, I rode down..
Nothing worth talking about there. Found a pair of kevlar denim pants, but size 30 - I squeezed into it, but they were super tight and tapered in the leg, and I like the boot cut better. Was checking out the mv's too.
I liked the 675 Brutale, but it's too underpowered for my liking. Must say, I've always been a naked bike guy. They are clearing out the 1090 brutale for 12800.00 - 2011 model.
Hopefully we can hook up a meet and greet this next weekend or something.
If the levers show by Friday, maybe head to Marcell's garage for the install... lol

+1 on petes superbike - or flying squirrel racing downtown has good prices for tires also.

I recommend using Ricardo for install - he is the GTA tire guy - Drives to your door, throws on your tires, and does a real nice job - a little education while he's doing it too - He does sprockets, chain, and tires. He's a good guy - I pay 125.00 to install both tires on my bike. He comes, removes tires, changes tires, balances, reinstall all for 125.00 - Can't beat it if you ask me.

Let me know if you need his number, I have his card.
Price might be a little higher, depending on how far he has to drive to do the install.

Ricardo,
Beast, must have his contact info...

Beast glad you rode down, my son and I ended up working on a major lego project and we lost track of the time...no worries. I am a big fan of the MV Agusta Brutale 800, and I hear it's due to hit showroom floors in August. Almost went that way, but I think I'd need a shoe horn to get on and off her. Your svelt 175 should fit perfect. Size thirty dude, I am a squeeze into a 38man myself. CRAZY!

Was thinking it would be cool to incorporate the red, black, and green into the logo, but again that's just some creativity talking.

I'm on the hunt for VDubb tires and am praying insurance will be dece!

Chat soon boys,
M

Glen at Flying Squirrel will match most any prices I can find online, for most stuff. He is my first call for any parts/tires/batteries etc., or any parts for the older bikes.
Really nice guy too., nice to ride downtown once in a while as well.....

and then there's the t-shirt.....

BEAST, that's sad news man, sad news. I don't think general traffic is not looking for bikes yet. That said, I am not sure if some ever do, but I suspect it was on the 404? My wife just gets really really quiet. I see you are facing the same passive resistance I face in owning a moto.

I always say, "we could die, getting out of bed," but these incidents remind me of the risks we all take. Ride with your witts and a little luck helps too.

Keep the shiny side up boyz.
W

PS Ducati, nice ride man, I'can't imagine what insurance is. I looked at a Panagale and just to dream ran it through insurance. My quote was 5000 something.

PEACE

MARKHAM, Ont. – The Special Investigations Unit is investigating after a motorcyclist died in a collision in Markham Monday.

The SIU said York Regional Police officers attempted to stop the motorcycle shortly before 1 p.m. on Major Mackenzie Drive.

The police watchdog said the motorcycle collided with a vehicle at Major Mackenzie Drive East and McCowan Road.

The motorcyclist was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Major Mackenzie Drive is closed from McCowan Road to Stricker Avenue for the investigation.

The SIU is an arm’s length agency, which investigates cases involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.

In the last two weeks the man featured in the article that Romans forwarded was the fifth man to die on a motorcycle in the GTA. I discovered this fact when I went looking for more information about today's victim. That's four in York region and one in Toronto proper. Not to start navel gazing but today's fatality though unfortunate, had resulted from an operator attempting to flee from police. Talk about going out in a blaze of glory. Sad but the man went out with his boots on. Anyone who has ever run from a ticket (I've done it twice - keep in mind was really young and foolish) knows the ultimate consequence could be your life! So Romans Wolf and Beast are still here I am assuming Dave and Stevie your here too?
Mad love to the Nation!

RIP to the rider.

5th death in the GTA and the season hasn't even begun. Be safe folks. When those cherries light up you only have a split second to make a decision. Crack the throttle or pull over and take your lumps.

Possible 10,000 Dollar fine 50km over and insurance through the roof if the officer deemed it racing{and he will}. That with the loss of your pride and joy ??????? We will see more of this. I'm not saying I agree with trying to flee but I understand why people who would never consider doing this Now Are Giving it Some thought. Crazy Law, it put’s us all in danger.

I agree 100% Romans, but no one made that guy speed in the first place. He decided to do it on his own. But making maneuvers with cold street and tires with salt dust on them is not a good idea. Poor guy - did anyone catch how old he was? And, I can't believe he's the 5th this year.... This is the 1st one my wife forwarded me....

Cold asphalt, sand, drivers that are not looking for us yet...These factors alone should be part of our tacticle plan when we get out there. Running from the 5/0, definately ups the anti. You folks are correct when you say this person should not have laid on the throttle and especially when he was lit up. But at the same time, I hate to see it happen to anyone and I have done some real stupid things in my life. Luckily they had not cost me my life.
I remember a suzuki 500 two stroke I rode on highway 401 with shorts, sandals a tanktop and a helmet. I remember blasting and weaving through trafic as if navigating pilon obstacles for a high speed riding test. It's a miracle I did not join the statistics. My guess BEAST, it was a young rider...probably a young kid, out galavanting and joy riding.

Either way, it's a real shame...feel bad for anyone who's blind luck runs out...

Hey Beast, since the wife is savvy, have they released the name and age of the rider that met with fate, while dashing from the coppers?

Dave and Stevie, you guys going to check in? I am assuming you guys are safe.

Not sure but I really hope it's not who I think it is(Not Many With That Seat). If so, he was not far from home. Lives by the Hospital.
