The one I was after is no longer listed so I guess it is gone. I been a bit slack with following it up but got a few family health isues at the moment. Not in any hurry but keen to get one at the right price. Just hang out for a bit to see if the new model is announced around November like Kawa said.

Hi, ozymax, you could be right on the new model cause in South Africa Kawasaki is running a "spring special" on the ZX14, GTR 1400 and ZX10's. I dunno if they are just clearing 09 stock, but they are a whole bunch cheaper.

The crash happened on the Buckett's Way between Gloucester and Krambach NSW. I live near Newcastle and we ride those roads often for half day or day rides depending on how far north we go. Great stretches of road right through that northern area including the number one bike road in Aust, the Oxley Hwy from Walcha to Wauchope.

G'day matt1414 thanks for ya reply cobbar, yeh was pretty curious where the stack was mate!!june 14 I smashed my femur x20 + shattered my patella, an when I tried to stand up my femur came through the side of my leg, but just found out today to more South aussies in seperate accidents were killed here today shows you its not the speed as mine was done at roughly 25kmph its the impact ! my red09ZX1400 was not that bad !the other bloke (zx142985) sadly his ZX totaly (impact @ speed)and was lucky with the damage to himself (still alive) !!In 1985 I was going around this "S"BEND at 155kmph at the second bend three kids threw a handful of stones out in front of me! and all I got was a 5cm graft to my left knee! and minimal damage to my CBX750 as it slid down the road! thanks again for the feedback from Stephen M.

That's a decent wound Beano hope the recovery speeds up for you. I did a similar injury when I was a kid, broke my tib and fib and didn;t know, tried to walk on it and they popped through the side of my leg.

This bit of damage to my 14 was done about 8 weeks ago, stupid road work gang ran loose gravel across a cement bridge that they were tarring up to, I came off at about only 35-40kph. Made a real nice hole in my forearm down to the bone. Bike should be fixed next week.

Including upper middle and lower faring, tank, mirrer, exhausts and rear tail. Total repairs about $7500. Thanks to insurance it is repaired and all my riding gear replaced.

G'dat Matt hey it dont take much for the rise in cost for damage hey mate, the hole in ya forearm are ya off ridng/work then? nice colour Matt I had a choice last March of black or red for my 09zx14 Hey my 04blackbird was black!! did quite a few things to mix the colour up, I had a new 03bird that was the same blue as yer ZX14!!! when yer did the tib/fib mate how long did that stop ya from normal life, riding/work ? hope ya not to long without ya beast Matt. my best mate Goody luvs this road call Christmass Tree Hill road, boy he can really go quick, he took my ZX up thier they resurfaced it, he hates what they done!! same shit mate!! loose gravel up the hole run now its dangerous.

ahh shite bean....another op and then another 6 months?? i feel for you man!
ive been riding very little the last couple of months due to weather mostly but its wrecking my head! but it has given me plenty of time to work on the zx, have engine back together now, just cleaning things down before putting back the rad. after that its replace my brakes for galfers and upgrade the suspenders! phew!

hey jafo cobbar no sweat mate some good things came outta my stack like speaking/learning/buying for the ZX got a better jacket & lid also when I started here didnt go to well on a computer ask bg. LOL and although I was bad fer taking her out to see 2010 out boy o boy with the dyno/pcv+ mods + suspension set-up hell she f--in unreal so all in all, its not that bad + my "09" will only have 3000 miles on her @ 1.5 years old LOL ha ha its you guys that help me see this jafo thanks heaps mate! uroo LOL as us "convicts say"

Hey Bean, Not working at moment so accident hasn't reaqlly affected that at all. Have had some small rides but don;t have much strength in the arm to support myself but it is getting better.

As for my leg break, I was round and round the roundabout like you. I was 10 months in plaster from my toes to my groin, damn thing just wouldn't heal. Then because it had been so long immobilized the leg was just a stick when I could finally walk on it, so about another six months before I could start doing any running or sport or the like.

Hope yours has a better ending.
