OK so I might have found a 11th month 2008 model first registered in 03 2009 with 3000kms for a reasonable price.

Any thing I should be looking for on this model?
What is the warranty period? 1 or 2 years here in Aust
Age of the bike is not really an issue for me as I tend to keep them for 5 or 6 years at least so resale down the track wouldn't be much of an issue. It's about $3000+ under a new bike at the moment so worth considering.

YEH ! FROM what I studied and know is you can buy a 09 runout for $19000 with $1400 fuel card,thats better than I got 5 mnths ago! Go with ya hart mate!!! ps. good luck!!!

you can get right now current model ride away no more to pay for under $16k and I would think they will come down more yet unless everyone jumps in on them. But this 08 one with only 3000kms is looking attractive also at under $13k even if it is an 08 product run

Na mate they will come down more as the new model gets closer I think.
I am looking at an 11/08 model first rego in 03/09 3000kms for around $12500 or hopefully a bit less. Just don't know if best to hang for a new one or grab this.

That price for the near new 08 (3k) when my mate turns up today and reads this,he bought a 08xjr13 new last year he has!after riding my 09zx14 said that its his next bike, he concidered buying a 700k demo. 3 mnths ago for $18000 O yes mine has 2yrs waranty. aussie aussie aussie.

hey bean,
im not from Oz but did spend a few months around ur area in SA in '88.
i was based in gawler and toured around the borossa valley and flinders ranges on a trusty cx500! even managed to do a bit of work for a couple of the wineries! unfortunately all my photos were lost but i have some great memories of there!
some mates were studying viticulture in Roseworthy so there was rarely a night we didnt have a party!! was great to be young eh?

Jafo I am not surprised you have been to OZ from reading some of your posts you get around a bit. Love the flying 14 still dont know how it didn't bottom out on you.

your actually in one of my favourite parts of the world, brisbane!! was there during expo 88 and revisited Brisbane in 2002, i love your town!!
someday i hope to get back to oz, really loved it there!

mate expo 88 was fantastic and really change Brisbane for the better. You would have noticed a difference in 2002 for sure. We are still though of as a big country town bu the big boys down south but I'd rather be here than any place else. Not the best rideing roads around here but there are a few.

I don't know if that is the sort of thing you get fancy with. Maybe hell go for a back wheel touchdown next time --but I have a feeling that might have been a once in a lifetime feat on the 14.
