'Fact check' is a western proverb vs a chinese proverb [Chairman Mao] "No investigation, no right to speak."
So Irish/Australia/USA-Ivan-Don says; 4 different flash hacks into the mapping. I do not see gear maps, just toggle off the limiter, or just hold down ctrl+F for find, or hit F3 and type in the window 'gear' w/out quotes and I do not see one can change 7 gear maps... if that's what you were told.
Ivan has his own flash program and he shows nothing but backup maps triggered is my guess. Ivan might be showing a backup showing the lower 3 gears can be disabled from the k-skid. That's my guess. Why the others do not show this? Now Kab, I don't know if Don toggled off the lower 3 as Ivan seemed to discovered> I'd have to see his [Ivan's] screenshot. But to me, that sounds like cutting off the k-skid so you do not get the sprocket change at said certain rpm/gear combo's like you are experiencing.
Error found is brick speak for all I know. Since there are no moving parts inside the black box, but magnetic gates of 5v holding that gate hot or on, or 0v closing the gate off. Flash wise, I think I read kawi's kit-ECU abstract saying something like, 'you are going to degrade the chip, so you have 65,000 cracks at the chip... literally.' I took that as, busting the crystals inside the chip, and it still has a path out from one touch to the next of those rearranged silicone sand molecules... magnetically speaking.
And you can play with the mapping where it holds you hand in a way. And that way was, if you typed in the wrong number, it would fly out of the map box and have a -/+ being said as an 'ERROR' outside the map. It says that won't calc off the other numbers around it.
