Just looking for other 14's to meet up with sometime and go for a ride. I have seen two other 14's around here, but, not since I bought mine.

Where exactly in S.W. MO are you at? If your in the Springfield area we may know each other.
Quick way to tell, do we have something in common, like wrecked blue bikes as a result of overly rambunctous track days at Hallett?

Kind of old thread, but yes. I work in St Louis, but live 15 minutes away in Alton on the other side of the River.

I am close to St. Louis also, about 7 miles from the I-255 river bridge.

Not many good places to ride near the city, but lots of good meet-up places. St. Louis has 3 motorcycle museums; The Moto Museum near The Fox Theatre, which is adjacent to the Triumph Grill and Moto Europa, a Triumph/Ducati dealer. Then there's Carl Donelson's collection of bikes and memorabilia in his shop on St. Charles Rock Road in St. Ann and lastly, the one I haven't checked out yet, The Dave Mungenast Museum on South Gravois Ave. in south city. Best ride close to the city may be The Great River Road from Alton north along the Mississippi River. My favorite road in the area is Highway 19 south of Cuba. Scenic and twisty! there is also Highway KK near Doe Run. the locals call it "MotoGP" for it's triple-digit sweepers. 2 1/2 ton ore trucks run it at 90 mph. It's a seat-puckering sight to see one of them coming around a turn in the opposite direction you're traveling and their tires are walking towards your lane.
