RIDING IN TOWN AT NORMAL SPEEDS THEN THE BIKE STARTS TO NOT LET ME RUNN OVER 3500RPMS THE BIKE STARTS FINE AND RAN GOOD UP TO THIS POINT. I CHANGED MY AIR FILTER AND JUST IN CASE I HAD BAD GAS I DRAINED AND PUT NEW CHEVRON GAS IN AND IT STILL REVS UP TO 3500 AND THEN BOGS DOWN AS IF IT IS RUNNING OUT OF GAS THEN WITHOUT ME PULLING THE THROTTLE IT SURGES AND GIVES ME SO MUCH GAS THAT THE BIKE WHEELIES AND THE FALSS RIGHT BACK TO 3500RPMS AND STAYS THERE AS IF IT HITS A REV LIMITER??????? ANY SUGESTIONS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECEATED!!!

I don't know-BUT-I'm wondering about what's going on with SEVERAL of our bikes here on the forum.Ninjamaster says his DIES while riding.You say she's bogging then blasting off.Mine won't IDLE correctly after"finally"starting(with an error code flashing).Surging while riding-fuel mileage in the crapper.BTW-My mechanic checked the valves and all-she was just fine-nothing wrong there or with compression.Now he's gonna go for the wiring(electrical).I've got 24,222 miles on mine.ZERO problems UNTIL about a month ago-then the starting,idle deal began.We'll see.Hope you get yours worked out-sounds pretty severe and dangerous to me.I'm beginning to wonder if MAYBE there's an unreported issue with the wiring harness-maybe some area of it that has a weak spot?That's what mine acts like-like a "part-time"short somewhere(that's no longer "part-time").Maybe there's a surge of some sort getting to the ECU,and causing it to malfunction somehow?Just enough to cause weird performance issues?I wish I could just get a NEW harness-hook it up,and see what would happen just for the heck of it(I'm NOT gonna do that of course).But it might be interesting.

i have 22000 miles on it and no major problemes til now either i went threw my electical system with a multimeter and everything checked out, i thought it might be a short towards my ignition or fuel pump but current is flowing i took it to a shop they hooked it up on a kawi dio system and got no errors what so ever. i go to MMI and none of my teachers know what the problem is and they all sugested something differnt so who knows??? do you have a service manual so you can go threw things yourself?

tried that i class and did the same thing with a differnt ecu. i thought it might be the fuel pump but then it probably wouldnt even run then. i need my bike back!

Check the tps voltage. I have had these little bastards create all sorts of problems!
Don't let the shops try and tell you to replace the entire tb if tps is bad,this is a scam,
volts should read 068-3.70 give or take depending on closed tps voltage as it will only move within a certain parameters.............Bill
