I know some have installed the thinner gasket...for more compression.I also think they're drag guys. Not sure at all if over the long haul a thinner head gasket would be a safe deal on a mainly street performance zx14 engine.IDK.I'm assuming you're thinking about installing a THINNER gasket?

Say you be real careful, run a shot of WD-Pam-She lack whatever you can push down the spark plug hole; that is your 'release agent.'

Something like rubbing a tootsie roll like a tiny snake; snake it so it spirals near a valve. This is your base-crush.

You want that thinner gasket, you have the head off, the crush number, new gasket number thickness; How close you wanna tag valves you are closer without pockets being cut deeper. You finding that magic number, you do the math.

I'd be in some proportion if big engines use the 0.040" min-gap. Unless you come away with a 0.037" I'd be...
Dish close.

Then, to stop the knock, I'd have to gulp the big change. And what price is that for your little chunk of bump?

Piss'inn away your money. Are we at the 1/8th-1/4 mile gotta get what I can get? Or are you a street scraper. When the moon hitsorta.

May I suggesTThe real test tickle? Wood less brake, more trade in the gasket for a penis enlargerun for ya? Kill two birds you can bead the brakes withe bestove them LOL

I don't understand one bit of what you attempted to type there. HUB

Anyway, yes it's a thinner gasket. I did the thin gasket on my zx10 but it didn't run as hot as the 14 is. I was just wondering if anyone had any problems on here.

My zx10r gained 12rwhp with a headgasket if I can get close to that with the 14 this thing will get down.

Justin,

What your z10 says about a head gasket is you can drop it in and go.
What I said was to find the gap between a piston and the valve.
What I meant was if you lower the valve closer to the piston, it might hit and tag each other you do not get a good measurement.
What I said was to use an oil to keep a clay or a soft type of material that will hold a crush memory so you have your initial thickness of how close that valve is in proportion to how much of a clue do you need reread my rehashed cabbage I gotta repeat what is too obvious like I drop the door height from 80" down to a 40" height.
What are the odds you smack yourself right in the face but you can almost walk with part of a leg swing in the other side.

That work for ya?

I'm not a dumbass. I'll check the piston to valve clearance. I just want to know if anyone has had an overheating problem with the 14 and a thinner head gasket. Next time I make a post please don't comment unless you can, 1st answer my question, 2nd type like a normal member on the forum. Thanks.

Yes, run the .018 head gasket. Yes, get adjustable cam gears. Yes, the bike will pick up nearly 10 hp.

No, the bike will not run any hotter then stock.

I hate fucking bitch ass keyboard warrior like you. You fucking fat punk bitch. I asked your fucking retarded ass nicely not to comment on my fucking post. Now I know why there is nobody on this fucking site. Your bitch ass is as stupid as I thought you were from attempting to read your other retarded ass post you stupid fuck. Get a fucking life get out from behind the fucking p.o.s computer you got and do something besides live off fucking wellfare from people like me. 0

I didn't fucking ask about piston to valve clearance I'll check that, I asked about overheating because I feel the zx-14 runs a good bit hotter than my zx10 did. I don't want to waste $60 and a few hours of labor on something I might have to take back off. Simple question right If you don't know the answer and perfectly content with your stock ass bike stay the fuck off my thread!!!

And thanks Slow appreciate the answer to my question. I already have the adjustable cam gears. tried these a few diffrent ways. I think I'm going to try something wider like a 108/in 105/ex. Or so what you think.

From my experience, most people on here are mature enough to ignore stuff if they don't like it and just respond to people they want. It's what makes this forum better than the more complicated and hyped forums IMO. I'll agree Hub can be a pain in the backside, but he's been around here before most and he is really trying to help in his own way. I just think of him as the idiot savant who has his own language. But he's usually only relevant to people who are motivated to think, hence why he uses his code. It's just unfortunate he has no sympathy for a lack of humor. lol Not to say I believe he's right about everything he says. I just worry for his neighbors children sometimes....

You have kids jumping in your yard going gay feet tea, and yes, better lockup your kids! My kid would never act like that. Mess up someone's home.

Dishere is home base. You have zero clue about what you're doing. You don't want to listen. You act like you can't think for yourself. Your ass is getting wiped by the 'resident 1320.' He's changing your diaper.

Whatever you say, I can take your abstract and kick the can with it.

Say, I have an 8oz. can and I have a can opener here. Can I open some big kaneye, can I? I know the beansay I fart about 10 more times. I know this one has hose says in the recipe being hot but never overheated with all the mods on the bike, I just wanna know if my generic can opener can open this can of worms?

Once again, you come barging into someone's home, yells for them to leave. Pretty funny. Then he opens the fridge of slow's garage wearout, I see is aspirin is your second course. Stay the course... A diaper change will be here shorts wee-wee need a changing now?

And no, you will have to remove my password so I do not show up on any fucking thread I want. How you like me in your bed with the old lady? Beer cold enough for ya?

Don't get me wrong, Im not personally offended by the language. I mean hell Im in the desert right now with an MP company so Im used to it lol. I just think we should stick to topics and not take personal shots at each other. I have already learned a lot on this forum and will def be sticking around. Just thought Id throw in my 2 cents...

Hub, your just a keyboard warrior

Yes, I defend the FSM. To the death. Not a physicks class can stop it. You'd have a doctor'degree and I'd smoke that paper it's written on. I asked someone that hole in the head question. I said, if you held one ear closed, the other open, what is the pressure on your skull where the porn king lives?

do you even have a bike?
SheWin? A sled too. Why, you too?

I have been working on bikes for a long time, fatass
I've been eating longer than you, bird poop.

I just started messing with the 14's and was trying to get an opinion from someone who has been around this bike a little more.
I bet you can't get the owner'slamyouwill out of the plasstick packet.

I don't have a clue about what I'm doing though
I tried to point that out on my second postoasting.

I just make all this shit up about degreeing cams
If I asked very specific questions, I bet you's fumble the tumble right out the box of those plastic tools your parents let you play wit. I got a sandshovel.

I didn't build the head on my 10 either.
Wait a minute. First you said you work on them more than I eat. Now you are saying you didn't hand that off cause you can do it and you wanna help your buddy's wallet out? Or you are kind of hez zoo tense like you got the tools but you are no money wrench yet. Understood.

I bet you never changed a damn spark plug!
I would have to say no. And your question was so general, I could say what year? What month, what weak sentence there guy.

I guess I'm just the only one that don't want to hear your bullshit on their thread.
I'm sorta wiping your upper lip so you can smell what you walked into. Wait for the next quotes

Did I hurt your feelings when I shot you down.
Yes you did. When I handed you the boom to sweep you UP with it, you parked your elbow on the top of the and then leaned there like now you are a wrenchandshit.

I'm sorry I hurt your confidence a bit.
No, it is more I am warming up the track for you since I have no warmers needed.

I guess I'm just going to have to go back to 10r.net
I was going to put a blankie on you for the nite soil you can sleep in your shitty diapers. I figure you with the tail under you legs will be the pooper scooper catcher you be smelling up the 10r.nethey'll throw you out you coming here.

where people don't mind helping a fellow owner out.
You helped yourself to the beer and I asked if it was cold enough for you. 42°F is ready to drink. Not a degree off that mark or I'd be shitting on your bike all room temp pee true?

Yes or no? Are you getting a wax job, hose job, oil change, and a beer waiting for a lubathe chainwhiffing boy you are turning out to watt becomes you? OH look at that WD-Fork In the RoDe another one up the wall LOL
