HP outcome after mods
11/08/12 10:10 PM

Hi guys,
Just curious from someone here with the knowledge on this. I'm putting a full set of Muzzy's Duals, PC5, changing the airfilter. Gonna send it for dyno tuning after that. Any ideas on what I can expect to get out of it. 2012 ZX-14R by the way.

Thanks for your input.

hmmm... nah. I would be surprised if you see more than 205 hp. Definitely sub 210hp unless you are on a gay dyno lol

Gay as in happy!

I could be wrong but Darryle (hindle exhaust with custom map) and Seno (Brocks CT-duals) got 205hp and 204 hp if my memory serves me correct. I'd think that Akrap and those two pipes should be superior to the muzzy but that idea is empirical.

Thanks guys! I was just wondering. It's funny how many "Experts" I've run into since I've got this bike! LOL I've had guesses ranging from around 180Hp to as high as 240Hp! LMAO So I figured I'd lay it out here for the real crowd to look at!

I'm putting a full set of Muzzy's Duals,

M-14 ???? Which system

This is the exhaust that Super Street Bike Magazine awarded the "Most Full System HP" after dyno testing 18 exhaust systems in the January 2011 Exhaust Shootout feature.

lol I'm gonna go with 180 hp being more stupid than 240 since the reason to install a full exhaust is to gain power, not loose it! Let's us know and post the charts when you get her dynoed and mapped!

Yes it's the M-14 system. It's funny. I took my Certificate of Origin in to the tag office today to get my tag and title and on the line that says "Horsepower" it said "200.0". So, I'm wondering, is that really true? Honestly, I'm sooo freaking excited I can't wait to hear it and feel it!! Sheeesh! What a fun bike to own!!! I've got a 2012 Harley-Davidson CVO Softail "Burgundy" or Red whatever ya wanna call it AND I've got a 2013 H-D CVO Ultra-Classic Electra Glide "Burgundy" or whatever on order to be delivered on 12/10 and neither of these really COOL bikes light my fire like my ZX!!! Anyway, I'm supposed to have it back Wednesday the 14th so I'll post all the data for you guys as SOON as I get it!!! Thank you very much for your responses!!!

Well I made a mistake. I checked with the dealer today and they are NOT the M-14s. It's the full system DUALS. The dealer said it wouldn't make any difference at all because all the horsepower is made in the collector area. It sounds good but I'm too savvy on this stuff yet. That's why I'm kinda relying on the people here. Any takers on that? LOL

Thanks for all your help!

Oh by the way...I LOVE the video Romans!! Thanks!

I'll take a guess...197 HP and 118 torque(at 10,800).Could be more(probably will be)...those figures are low...(200 sounds good..whatever that thing said).I would bet they leave the factory right around 200...give or take 2,3 HP.

I'm so freaking dissapointed right now. He called me last night said the computer on the dyno was giving him trouble so he had a tech coming in to work on it and would call me today. It's now 2:15 here in Tulsa and I haven't heard a word. Not only that but it's sunny and in the mid 60's today and supposed to be that way tomorrow. :(

I'm working with a buddy at the one just off the B.A. and I think Metric Cycles is doing the dyno work. However, neither one of them have said how much she should put down. It's been all the so called "Experts" I've run into since I bought the bike. He did text me last night and tell me they finished the dyno work Saturday afternoon and they are gonna snap her back together Tuesday. Freaking can't wait!! I am worried a little about being disappointed in the dyno chart. My Certificate of Origin said 200Hp so I hope to see at least 215Hp out of her.

The best set up for hp is the m14 4into 1 with m10 can.. But i think u will get atleast 15hp. But dont b disapointed becuz i have takin dame bikr same setup to two diff dyno shops and ther was a 17hp diff!!
