2010 or 2011 +
06/28/11 5:12 PM

I am pretty sure I'm in for a new zx-14, but have a few decisions to make; local dealer has a Candy Red 2010 on the floor for $10.3k & an Ebony 2011 for $13.2; I much prefer the black, but am thinking for $3k I can get pipes & paint & be better off. I'm looking for thoughts on the differences between the '10 & '11 (my understanding is not much) & beyond that advice on pipes & paint (something cool & classy).

absolutely NO difference between the two other than color and the number on the title!

I would prefer BLACK as well. But if I can save $3K Candy Red it is!!! A year is not worth that much.

+1 to what Jeff01ss wrote. Since the 2008 model, absolutely nothing has changed except colors available and VIN numbers.

We do all the changing ourselves! :)

$3k US in savings = Brock's CT-Dual (best HP, fantastic sound) exhaust system with PC3 (no need for PC5) and Brock's Track (tweaked for street manners) map, plus ceramic coating from Classic Coatings.

I.E. turns the stock bike into a beginning of what will become a bad-ass street bike.

Are you testing me? The not-stock I can see...dual cans (model & your satisfaction rating?), seat (red piping is nice touch, sargeant?), smoked screen, center stand...can't pick out anything else, but that is a great looking bike!

LOL bsquared No cobbar I luved my 2004 CBR110xx but the ZX1400 is so much more Linar/smoooooother than the Black Bird! the Bird was Quick but slow to the ZX1400,my wife thinks its more Comfortable than the Bird! IMO Not ugly like a Busa LOL Overall it's The Hyposonic Sports Killer No. 1 in its Class

Are you testing me? The not-stock I can see...dual cans (model & your satisfaction rating?), seat (red piping is nice touch, sargeant?), smoked screen, center stand...can't pick out anything else, but that is a great looking bike!
I Paid $19,000 when I bought it March 11 2010 & The Dual cans are Leovince Slipons which I should not payed to much for here ( $999) ! but later after I joined up with the Best "Specific ZX1400 ninja bg forum in our Planet I found out I could of Paid $460 for them in the USA The Seat-Cover (skin) I bought that also from USA for $138 including delivery to OZZ And fitted it myself! I payed more from Kneedragers for the Centerstand than from Eric's How to Do Section here $178, the Hugger and Undertail for ruffly $150 each! the rear Tailight $30 & the MRA Doub/Bub screen around $150,then not long ago I bought a 1000 mile 2010 Header Pipe & got rid of that Radiating (Heating) Cat Just to make her sound heaps more Deeper!plus a Cox Radiator Guard ,135 db horn, Venturer rack N 65ltr & 90 ltr bags, faring mesh,Tankprotector,PCV ETC. Not quite sure but I reckon in Hindsight I could of done all this for just over $2000 gran in the USA! Just use this forum to see what you like in Assessories/pictures etc. PM any bro to see if he can remember where he bought from like Scottjkl/Dogo/Blue07/Privateer etc etc you will be stunned at the $$$$ you can Save to "personalise" your New ZX1400

Ouch! US$12,950 brand new in 2008 plus US$400ish for 4 year maintenance warranty plus US$300ish for 4 year extended warranty, total came to just shy of US$15,000 out the door, tax and license.

To right their Privateer mate fairdinkum we pay on average about 45% more fore most things "Here" to you guys that's why I was suprised about That It's said Higher wages cost us badly for that reason mate! Cooter the other day was taken back when I told him I attended the "Work Toolbox Meeting" Wednesday and I was perplext at their Bitching of how the Navy Ship yard Boilermakers get a 9 day fortnight and this that Blah blah. The Forman (Huddo) asked me what I thought, as I was on one of the Higher pay Rates before my crash 14th June 2010 !($27 p/hr full time) anyway I told a group of around 25 boilies you guys expect "Huddo" to go in and "Bat" for ya when some have the Monday off after bringing in $40.50 for the first 3 hrs then $52 for the rest on Saturday & $52 p/hr Sundays! plus quite afew of you guys are tardy in that ya turn up late often! most of the workers here Know me Well for @ 47 yrs old @ the time and being labled (Stirring) "OLD-Man" when They new I ran rings around most of them and I never took any day Off or was Late after "Overtime" Hell ya get fully Supplied, Laundered, repaired Overalls & free Tee, Coffee or Milo & for most would be adding 12 hrs in Travel @ the Ship Yards not to mention the Ware & Tare on ya Cars/bikes ! I Guess what im getting at Privateer we get Ripped off when it comes to buying goods in OZZ period ! So True thats why I and most Australians now Shop on the Net !we Know most Goods Travel twice Via the Net!so that in it's self Should Cover Shops Heavier Wage Overhead costs.
