Damage Control
12/11/10 8:04 AM

Once you understand napkin to production and limited field time. You know that napkin turns to a "Samurai Steel Edge." When the 14 came out, I tried to wall a griPan fix it! There was nothing to fix, oh, field fix a frame no more noise.

Have all the frames to be framed fixed? As if it is some secret big deal the OTTO change? Frame change? Complete new bike change is the engine family change to meet and greet the frame change.

Nothing new to report. Change channels. I'll tell you one thing... No I won't.

Load, say you and I design an engine on paper. Apply that theory. The theory becomes reality; We have 2 dimensions called X times Y = Z. So, from 2-dimensional lines on a sheet of paper to 3-dimensional parts, we now have a part that did not meet sheet or napkin specs.

Now, the 10 has a recall. That means one of 2 things. They found through limited tests or tests in the, "field" are called "WE" sitting on the [post-production] that some part like a frame has a flaw. Say the engine has some type of minor fix to it. Thus the recall.
So, does that mean another thing like move the bike up in rating or one glitch taken care of e.g., a frame flaw. Maybe it is engine, maybe ignition as being the other areas?

A HP rating can change could be called, scenario 2. They could match of course, the more strict euro emissions and still have the faster bike. No difference here, you just ignore whomever knows shit about speed in the gov scene are pussy politico that have no clue of their job description. In other words, 186 comes quicker than an ss gearstopoe beamer it to blow one of those beamers off the map would be description 2. And ever so slight is the bump, just to piss your ass off. They could have made it much faster but, Nnnnoooooooooooooooo, just fast enough is the recall fix, they fixed YOU! Get it now, load?

RE: Damage Control

After all these years hearing about a cheat, the other day I heard the real truth. It was politically sad to hear it, but that's racing. I can tell you one thing, but the rest dies with me.
Like I've said, I've ridden 3 generations of 14's and each surpasses the other via 'refinement.' Subtle as it may be, I would drop the '08 for a 2010.
For example, you can't run an '06 throttle body on an '08. Injectors are too big in the flow rate. That means a computer box refinement as in retune the leaner '08 but make more HP or retain said bump, 'being we know the competition will up us one, we now up'd them for this [generation] year following.' 'So lets add a third cat and still be faster."

And with the 10's numbers now on par with a piped/mapped 14 having the same HP rating, this is a stock 10 with 160 plus HP. Most stock 14's are in the 160 range. That is 350cc less bore/stroke. A narrower engine. A smaller package. Now, imagine the 10's performance, then hand over a new gen 14 [that would] eat that 1000 like I eat the bikes I've come across with so far. Even a Duc was shown the door in the tight stuff.

Yes, Romes, "Cash Waiting." I'm going to die broke, no joke! Can't keep me off one.

The first bump ought to break Mr frame on that little beauty. Looks like all that Garage jewelry my buddies have parked in their garages but don't want to ride. Too pretty to re-weld U know, LOL. What's the word,,,,RIGID ? Hub did you make that ?

If that was a napkin bike, no, I wipe my ass of it. I just find it amusing to watch all the speculation about the 10. If we are building bike from scratch within 2 years, not bad! I think the 'recall option' being a human concept can have a tiny glitch before release.

I have no fear of first year.

Look above where you type in a post. Below where the bold Body: says... Here are your basic bracket rules. Instead of using a b or i or img, you use the word quote written out in the brackets. Then you set those brackets up to your quote you want to use. See that forward slash inside the right bracket? That means 'close the quote' and without that, she will not do anything but show you your brackets against it like this:

[quote]See, without using the forward slash, you can see how to use the brackets right up to the beginning quote till the ending quote.[quote]

Or now shown with the proper formatted brackets:

See, without using the forward slash, you can see how to use the brackets right up to the beginning quote till the ending quote.

I almost never have a clue what you are talking about. And bringing the ZX10 into the discussion helps disguise your premise.

Any change in throttlebodies or injectors is dependant on if you can remap the ECU properly, right?

Please check the part numbers and specs on the ECUs of 2008, 2009, and 2010 ECU units for US ZX14 motorcycles and tell me what changed. Check the bore sizes, the intake and exhaust port sizes and shapes. The cam profiles. The timing, the injector sizes. What changed?

Some magazine hack thought since the PC5 says on the box it is for 2009+ ZX14s that means it won't work on a 2008. We know just how accurate that is, don't we?

Kawasaki has made zero changes since 2008 other than paint. Ask them. Or better yet, plug a 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 ZX14 ECU into a diagnostic box and tell me what differences you see. There aren't any.

2006 Injectors = Are too rich, you use a 2008 ECU.
2008 Injectors = Flow rate per minute flow less.

2006 Exhaust Pipes = Have narrow pipe diameters and 2 cats in the muffler.
2008 Exhaust Pipes = Are larger in diameter and has a 3rd cat in the header to compensate for equal flow as if nothing has changed.

2006 Throttle bodies = Have a 15° injector spray angle.
2008 Throttle bodies = Moved the angle to 20° so the spray hits more in the center of the port, not spraying partial wall at that 5 degree difference.

2006 ECU's = Have to be fueled with the blue injector bodies.
2008 ECU's = Will run too rich with '06 injectors. Therefore, a map change between ECU's are inevitable.

Underground says my dyno work proves this out vs. the 2006 vs. 2008 vs. 2010 ZX14. Free dyno time. Free ZX10 >> YOu have the right contacts in the underground.

The 10 has an exhaust-subthrottle system. Remove that, she will limp. Can I tune that bike without piggy and subs?

Got it.......now how to QUOTE...........

Click and drag what you want to quote so it is highlighted.

Click "Copy" in your control bar or "control/C" however you want --just so it gets copied.

Go to message box. Click the icon at the top of message box 3rd from the right. Looks like a person with a speech ballon. You get your quote tags with cursor at center.

Click "Paste" in your computer's control bar or "control/p"

Done.

Ahoy, 06. How's it been going getting the itch for a bike again?
