Quickshifter Question
04/03/23 7:25 AM

Hey guys, I am looking for a sensor to get the quickshifter function in my PCV working and at the moment I only have access to a Dynojet pressure type push sensor so can this be made to work on a ZX14R? I have a linear switch on my 06 14 and my sons ZX14R and I know they have a long operating range, but how does the pressure sensor work? Im guessing it has a very small range of movement, is that right?

:)

I think all it needs is to stop the spark so there is no load upon shifting. Then sometimes you hear a backfire with that switch in play. But who needs a switch if you can foot to brain to hand.

Home he here at home dunt need no stinkin' switches. I hardly use the clutch to shift and do not downshift to slow or stop. That downshifting is too much clutch action needed, so I abort it and click down instead w/clutch.

Haha thanks mate, I really love the QS on my old 14 so I want one on the new one without pirating parts off the old one.

Does anyone know what range of motion the pressure sensor has? If it's short as I expect it is then it will interfere with the shift lever travel in a non-pushrod fitment. I think I can make it work anyway but I wanted to see if you guys had any experience with them

Cheers
