Lighten up fella, folks are just letting off a little steam around here, been a long cold winter for most of us here in the States. My take is Woolich is providing a great service that is badly needed and offers a worthwhile alternative to piggy back tuning devices like the Power Commander and Bazzaz.

yeah, nothin wrong with Woolich. I think it was just a little mysterious how this thread was started. Are people having issues with Woolich products? No. Are they unsure how to use the products? Could be but I have not heard anything. Why is Woofie posting this for Mr Woolich? Is Wolfman Woolich's North American business liaison? Will Woolich answer by magic if Woofie posts a topic with the name "Woolich" in it??

there are a bunch of questions I have but I forgot all about getting answers when the jokes started. No offense to anyone. Maybe the Woolmeister will show up if some serious questions are asked. but maybe it will have to be another thread with a little more info to get it rolling. Otherwise ---watch out, it's winter!

You guys are seriously fucked in the head

Wait a minute, Kruz has no interest in the product, is just your typical long term member, likes to entertain himself, you're new, have no clue of the atmosphere here.... What is it? Harmless hazing call it? A write to passage? The guy already had a taste of a $50 tune. Relax.

Justin has only been on here to tell people about his wares and provide support for his product when asked...
Justin is at a lot of sites besides this one. Go look around. He's a busy guy.

He has never offered stated to be a tuner... Unlike Romans and cblast which I have seen the price of $250 quoted for one of them for a flash.... They could never have offered this without Justin's tools...
Look, someone comes here with product, we drink the coke, but do not have the CEO come here and discuss the drink's formula to us. But you show up, how am I suppose to know if Justin farms out the box or is inhouse like bazzaz who make their own ECU's. Get it? Justin is a ME not an EE? And I asked you how much EE is behind your education or experience more like it. I already knew your answer like a football game I could not lose. Get it? Ivan is not in the Brock/Don bin files nor runs a Wooly bin. Where does that put Ivan and his well established program which he's not saying so who cares, the ECU is binable by Wooly and others. Let Justin tell you his competitors.

Justin has only offered us the tools to tune our bikes nothing more nothing less
And you told me to look up the karnaugh? Didn't I ask how a 60 defaults to 50mhz, I have yet to ear it from any schooled EE. And didn't I tell you that if you did not come forward, how much confidence would you have of me I did not know my craft in the diagnosing part of it. Basic theory makes me come up with tons of variables for one thing. I have fun trying to hit it with the limited info over the net when it comes to a problem on the bike.

If memory serves me he was invited to this site
The site is what it is. You start to complain, time to go, not the regs. The regs made this place. That's why I come back. Go with the flow or do what is right for you.

Can Mr BG the moderator delete me from this forum as I'm embarrassed to be a member
Hey, look at it this way, we are embarrassed to have you. Now, either take your k-maps, go find the 60/50theory before I do, leave or stick around and complain more. Your choice. OH it's going to be epic around here... Professor you instigator you!

Justin can go right to Q&A start a thread and I'm not about to throw my hubshit in there... Just to let you all know. Once I'm up and running, I'll school myself on both platforms and open my own how-to, even grennie will pick up on it. So did you catch the concept of 0-cells in the pc, Grn? I don't even have the software in the computer yet, but do you see map2 as being the OEM?

And then it's a slow creep up to the 60 you do not tumble the tables to 50... LOL I've got the backdoor way in...

True, True Hub, I'm late to the Woolich party I'm afraid, got burned on the $50 Jeffco dial-a-tune and opted out of this round.

I could invest in the tuning software like everyone else but have no desire to play with my ECU without the knowledge to make safe and worthwhile changes. I've had a change of philosophy of late, the weakest link in the ride is the rider... always. My focus is on making me faster, the bikes are already fast enough. Just .02

Me dad used to say when he was alive, "all you need in life is a sense of humor and class!" I don't feel I've sacrificed either. That said, I honour your opinion bugcg! We talk about every subject on this site and some of us have been here longer than others. I don't see any fault in pointing out the obvious about our members that post here to further their business. I found Justin quite helpful in sorting out my own questions regarding his product. However, many folks "invited" to our site make an effort to get to know the membership and interact with us "lowly fheads" as you astutely point out.

I am not going to 1441, Bikeland, or any other forums for that matter and if you feel this forrum thread is off colour (as it was posted in jest) you are welcome to join those groups.

In the meantime a spoonful of sugaa makes the medicine go down...in the most delightful way!

RE: Ask Woolich?

Rooker,
I engaged in some woolich questioning on the 'Illustrious Romans Flash Thread' (insert anthem WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS) that I felt was distracting from the miraculous Romans Flash banter. Wool answered a lot of questions for me regarding his product. For example he addressed the costs associated, key use structure and basic tuning applications that were I think for many elemental. I felt like I side railed the homage theme of that thread. Thus I offered to build a thread here for folks to direct questions about the man, the products etc... I was also hoping wooly would see the thread and perhaps interact a little with us zx enthusiasts.

Neither direction was realized. I view the post here as folks just making light hearted fun comments, for example the Elvis and Jock Itch comments. Not malicious people - text and the written word are always up for interpretation. As I have come to know Mr. Kruz and Hub, I recognize these gentlemen are just being light hearted and silly. A sense of humor I have come to enjoy and expect from these two men. Rook also has a salacious sense of humor, I equally enjoy.

Would have liked to see Woolich answer the one with the grassy knoll. I think had he chimed in we would have enjoyed it. But alas no show. Thus I came to the conclusion that Mr. Wool is here to sell product. Nothing more and nothing less. And as I've said earlier, there is nothing wrong with that at all, I just thought he'd be more apt to just chill and dialogue with us a bit. Keep in mind we are all busy, run businesses, have kids, shovel snow and etc. But we manage the time to get to know each other and interact. I was hoping to get to know Justin a bit and offer a space to ask questions and dialogue about his tuning product...

If a guy with 30 posts wants to make assumptions and call me an fhead, and threaten to leave, well it is America and people of all walks have the right to express themselves. I agree with Kruz, lets oblige him.

I do think it strange that some folks took such direct offence with the thread.

So lets clear the air, and invite questions and perhaps we might even see an appearance from Mr. Wool. I love it when I am wrong and I'd love to know Mr. Wool about the grassy knoll (:

Hope that clarifies

Signed Fhead

Hot Damn I love this site, this is just so real to me. Justin I'm glad you have thick skin, lmao. But really what is the extent of tuning I can get for my Gen 1 azss opposed to my PC3?

Yeah i guess i got pretty thick skin :) there are all sorts of people around with all sorts of different opinions and ideas, i just take it as it comes.

A real proper question! If you are happy with the tune of your bike and dont want to extract everything out of it then there is probably no reason to move away from the basic fuel control you get with the Power Commander.

However you do gain access to a lot more maps and settings with our products. This allows you to tune more facets of your bike. For your model we have the following available:

  • IAP Fuel Maps (small throttle opening)
  • TPS Fuel Maps
  • Ignition Maps
  • Secondary Throttle Plate Maps
  • Fuel Trim Maps
  • Adjust RPM Limiter
  • Disable Top Speed Limiter
  • Disable Stock O2 Sensor
  • Real Time Engine Data

You can see a list of products for your bike on the following link

Many thanks to you Mr Woolich for stopping in and answering questions, you are certainly welcome on our forum anytime sir! I think you'll find us to be an eclectic group with a sometimes bizarre sense of humour but at the end of the day we're all harmless.

Wolfie, as usual you are able to see the best in all people and all situations.....and never take things too seriously. You are the "Great Bridge Builder" sir!

Hi to all!

Can you say for sure does Gen2 european model 08-11 have different ignition timings to different gears or not ?

My question relates to the disabling o2 sensor. If do the trick and put the right kind of resistor and get gear 3 in display , do i have full power related to ignition in this way ?

I think in this way i can test how my bike works without o2 sensor .. because it only affects the 4-6 gears , if I understand correctly ?

In Woolich product that o2 disabling interest me and maybe i can test it in this way and maybe buy it if I am satisfied and get geardisplay work again normally.

Hi, no the Gen 2 ZX14 does not have different Ignition Maps for each gear, all gears use the same Ignition Maps. There is an Ignition map for each cylinder.

Restrictions to power are generally done via STP (Secondary Throttle Plates) (depending on model).

The O2 sensor works in a closed loop at low throttle positions, it adjusts the bikes fueling to keep the bike lean for emmissions and fuel economy, it targets an AFR based on the switching point of the narrowband O2 sensor which is between 14.2 - 14.9 (depending on the sensor).

Yes if you disable the O2 sensor in your ECU you will not need the O2 optimizer which i am assuming is causing your bike to always display gear 3. I am not sure why the O2 Optimizer is affecting your gear position display, they generally consist of a small circuit to feed the ECU a constant signal on the O2 circuit so the ECU no longer adjusts fueling.

Thank you for ignition information. I explained a little bit bad that 3gear thing .

I meant that if i do same Ohm resistor than 3 gear have (like tre get 6th gear in display about 250 Ohm) i can drive without O2 sensor also 4-6 gears and test is it better than with O2sensor+optimizer . Situation is same than 02 sensor is disabled, but 3rd gear is allways in geardisplay.

I know O2 optimizer should do about 13.6 AFR in closed loop , but maybe bike is better with normal PCV map like it is allways in 1-3 gears .. that i want to test in 4-6 gears too.

I know nothing about these systems but looking at the price, seems like they should be very competative with the old PC technology. Is there any tuning equipment carried on the bike at all, or is it all software that you load up to your laptop to reprogram the stock ECU?
