My sons and I took an AWESOME trip this weekend. South from Grand Junction to Pagosa Springs (stayed the night there) and back up by a different route. Eastern route Saturday down to Pagosa Springs, and back Sunday using the western route:

Hit quite a bit of rain, but there were some awesome roads! Total of about 600 miles. The 14 performed flawlessly.

wow...looks like a pretty long ride

It was just about perfect for a 2-day trip. Only thing that could have been better is if it hadn't rained. We were in rain maybe 20% of the time -- heavy at times. -bg

that sucks, I have been caught in a few on trip and really hate it. What do your sons ride?

Older son John rides an FJR 1300 and younger son Jason rides a CBR 600RR. Hard to keep up with that one in the tighter corners... But he's a natural rider and I'm not <grin>. -bg
