Deep tone ZX14 Exhaust
04/01/10 3:53 AM

So i was looking at the Two Bros exhaust which were told to have a nice Deep tone sound in them. But i was wondering what other brand of exhausts has this nice deep tone in them, instead of the Raw racing sound.

Yoshi seems to have a nice idle too, but they don't sound too deep.

Anyone?

Tough to make the ZX14 sound deep anywhere above idle. It wants to leap tall buildings, not sound "deep".

Let us know if you find something which makes a rocketship sound like a harley.

Yeah, i agree u cant make a ZX14 sound like a TL1000 for example... Some exhausts like.. M4 or Brocks really let the bike scream a bit too loud for my taste. harr harr! I prefer a smooth sound instead of a raw sound which is too loud for my likings

I wanted a canon pipe for the sound and the hp as well but I came across a set of two bros for a price I couldn't pass up and i was suprised by the sound that they have low low rummble at Idle fat sound at crusing speed and when I was riding another bike behind mine the sound was still a bit deep and at speed 150 + the sound was like a howl not high pitch but middle The sound is deeper than yoshi or the Povic .Now my pipes where tickeling my ears for the first couple of rides but I got use to it there are some on ebay here they are around 250.00 right now 4/1/10 but they are carbon ones mine are the aluminium ones

Yosh is the most like stock. Go to a local bike night 4 your self. If you want lung tone, Muzzy has got your #. If I was to buy slip-ons again The pic above would be exactly what I would choose again. I am Fussy and know what I like, so it's up to the ear of your choosing.

Installed Vance & Hines Black CS1 on yesterday, very nice deep sound on idle. Initially, not too loud reviving through RPMs but around about 125 miles logged, I noticed it has got a little louder. Just right for me and not to overbearing according to the neighbor. lol

Ok,

So i asked a local if he's able to order it for me. This is what it'll cost me:

2006-2009 ZX-14 Stainless Slip On System W/Oval Carbon Fiber Canister: ( $989.95+$160 ) X 0,74058 X 1,046 X 1.19 = 1060,06 + pakweg 15 = 1075,06 euros !!! ..... Is it me or is this A-LOT??

So i also checked for the same cans that Romans had, they look great:

2006-2009 ZX-14 Oval Stainless Steel Slip On System: 709.95

Are these the ones Romans has on his bike?

That's kinda the thing. Muzzy doesnt have dual-full systems. And i really like the dual looks..

I wont be on the track, so i dont think ill be needing the Full system?

Does the sound of a Full system come out even better??

What's 10-4?

1014-00219 is the partnumber.

By the way Romans, Did the slipons change color permenantly after a while because of heat or something alike?

Was the condition still good after u put them away?

Thanks

LOL... 10-4 means "correct". It's U.S. (and other places) police code. Like, 10-20 - hey Bandit, what's yer 20? This here's Smokey. ::8^)::

That picture was taken after a full seasons use. The pipes were removed and sold to another member on this forum. From that price shown above these pipes are now much cheaper and sound like a good deal. I will look for more picks to see if they changed color. Do they look like they did or did some one tell you this ?

The only thing I could complain about is chain grease gets on the pipe and marks it up a bit. If you look at the photo in the box you can see the grease Marks. Stock is the same.

Tee he lol, that picture was taken shortly after I bought the bike. She had her flies still in and had no bottom end. In order to make the poor girl spin, she required a little front brake and a clutch dump. After the first burn out I was hooked. Remember this was my first street bike in over 20 years(What a RUSH). Three waisted tires later I stopped that shit, well most of the time. Lots of fun was had while learning to lauch her straight. Cheers.

Guys I roasted this bike and my pipes did not change color from the heat. Well from the pics, I do not think they did. When I sold them they looked almost new. I hope this helps in some way.
