Back to the track this weekend, didn't get ALL the bugs lined out but did ok anyways.

I was bracket racing, so my fastest pass was actually with letting out on the big end... lol

Quickest pass (short wheelbase, footshifting, NOT tuned, and pump gas) was 9.48 @ 137 with a 1.600 60'.

*on other passes, with slower launches, it trapped 147.

With the shifter working, a tune, and race gas i think it'll probably run in the 9.20 range at around 152ish.

I'd be happy as poop going 9.20's at swb. Hell, I was aiming for 9.50's and got a 9.61 @ 151.5.

Wacko, keep in mind.. i've been drag racing for a while and i've learned a lot of little 'tricks'. 9.61 is pretty darn'd good for what you've got done in your signature.

I look forward to getting to the drag strip but hate the look of expectation on people's faces when they see the 14 under me. Maybe I'll leave my luggage on and they'll just assume I'm on a Gold wing and be impressed with my 13 second passes. Maybe it'll be easier to launch than I think, then again prolly not.

I too have been going down the track for a few years now myself and to be honest, it seems that as time goes by, the less I have the opportunity to race. It's like now and days, if I get to the track 1 time every 2-3 months, I'm doing OK.

Work always comes before play with me and it just seems that I can't get away anymore for my wednesday night test and tune sessions. Being that my local track is only 27 miles from my house just makes it that much worse.

It seems that for the last couple of years, I've been racing "rusty" every time I go because of the lack of frequency.

New best of 9.24 yesterday. I'm thinking with a tune and race gas i may get in the 8s.

How the hell did you pick up 9mph since your last time at the track? Big Gains there Dude!

The 9.48 at 137 was me trying to slow down to run 9.50. I had trapped 146-147 a couple of times the first trip.
