The beauty of the 14's production run are a lot of interchangeable parts of this bike's family. Swap the fairings to wheels. Engine families; as long as they are from the 1352 and 1441cc's.
Yesterday I happened to check the 3 mileage intervals. Speedo showed 21,400mi on my '017 SE. A trip had 200 plus and about due for it's 300mi chain lube. B trip showed 1,000 plus miles on the last 3000mi oil change.
Broke that bike in so anal like, never saw close to 4000 rpm first 600mi limit then first oil change. From then on, oil always starts with decades old 50w racing and mix the rest with what's around. Engine does not burn a drop. Remains at the level when 3k comes around.
Tore open the last oil filter to look for the 36k fuse to start lighting off. Found this to be one of the cleanest filter pleats among the 4 14's I've owned so far.
So with 200mi on the bike, siro, I'd be tearing into that oil filter now. Shoot the debris between the pleats. I've seen plenty of pleats to see who is who if that helps.
