Tensioner Mod:
Don't: Set the tensioner running, you want to get me stated on that execution.
Do: Turn the crank till it stops with old tensioner in; as per video.
Don't: Listen, forget about the slop on the front side, it's going to make noise like you are trying to get rid of.
Do: Butt the pin up against the slipper until it lightly stops. When the screw stops, if you see the slot a 1 o'clock, tighten just enough to 2 o'clock. Do not turn tight 1/2 or 1/4 turn in once you feel it stop. The idea is butt up and then some. Like shaking hands. Someone really bites down is no way. Someone pressures you all soft, no way. Someone presses you in between those is more to the soft than hard side if you were to find some middle ground pressure, you want soft up against the tensioner.
Don't: Butt the stopper block digging into the tensioner you can't hear running. This is high maintenance like chain lube, oil/filter type maintenance.
Do: Your static tension always remembering to move crank forward before you adjust the static adjustment again. Since you now have the static down, when you change oil, you do your cam chain. You know it is at 2 o'clock. You just move it more till it takes up the slack. You are there waiting for the oil to drain. Only squids hear the noise then adjust 10K miles down the road.
Shift Star Mod:
Do: Keep the whole clutch pack in place so you can air gun the clutch center bolt off and on. You do not have a special tool or made a rivet locker type; [using an old steel and friction] shoved in the basket to hold the center still, as you keep spinning that nut, you do not do either or.
Don't: Throw the clutches in all different directions. See how the clutch pack was assembled so you reverse the order.
Do: Start the bolt first installing the roller stopper arm. This way, you can use the bolt as a pivot point. Run enough threads in so nothing strips when loading is what usually happens sometimes. You'll see what I mean. That could be a bitch worse than the center nut setting that puppy up. However, this is just one stopper arm, not having 2, setting up 2 springs and 2 stoppers might be fine now. Just a warning on that thread start being the move.
Luck? Looks more like fun! I know the tensioner is a no brainer. I'm wondering just how off center from the pin that, the U's in the shift pawl, the quality of the roller rivet set to elongate faster than stock an shit shifting here we come!

Hub I hope these photos give this answer. There was blood loss. Both bikes finished in about 3hrs.

Tell me 4th is a problem gear or I missed a shift and ruined mine.
Hub, I did not get a chance to ride the bike very far, will be looking for issues with 4th today.
During install the detent arm would slip off the edge of the stepped bolt and go in Front of spacer. Only a 32 of space is visible with your head right in there. Almost missed this, thinking(or not thinking)the space was the rolled edge of the bolt. My Bad.
A bit of a No Brainer I know, but when dinking with that spring it's Very Very easy to do. If I was having trouble I would start there. No mention of this in the instructions. Go figure.

"tool" there. That's a disc welded onto a piece of angle iron? What'd you use for the "disc"?
My riding buddy Steve took the the plates out of a old clutch pack(Turbo Guys Have Lots of Those Laying Around LOL)and welded them together. Simple and makes life easy.

Slow, the rider feed back in your foot is sweet. Quick. The best way for me to describe it is, if you took a bolt and dragged your finger nail down across each thread, click click click click. And your 7 sec is over lol. You can feel everything. In the grand scheme of things it's worth a try ? I thought you were air shifting ?

Oh I am. But there are occasions when even the air shifter misses a shift. If this made the shifting smooother, it would less likely to miss a shift.

Smoother and Quicker. Each gear has a more positive feel that it is locked into gear. Not a clunk into each gear but a strong click. Stock, sometimes I could feel nothing, which left me wondering if the shift was all the way home.
Also less resistance when shifting(micro bearing). Seems to me this would also help with the Air shifter.
I am not the best with words but I'm sure you know what I mean. Yes ?

Looking at getting a shift star for my gen 1, has anybody heard of any reason not to? I like the idea of smoother shifts. I have annitori quick shifter and thought it and a shift star would compliment one another.

I knew there were mods still out there for me to do! lol. I've gotta say Using Motul 300V, the shifting has been pretty good, way better than with Mobil 1!
