There ya go!Stable and quick turn in....planted...very noticeable increase in acceleration.Add the damper.....has really given this bird a new spirit....very happy with it.I'm feeling the lean is deeper and more controlled.Transitioning is very light feeling.Getting great feedback from the tires.

I really had no idea what moment of inertia or rotating mass was feeling like...but these definitely have made the handling a lot crisper and controlled. Not skittish at all...they really track well. And picking your line and all is a lot easier.I feel I can lean in better without feeling like something's gonna let go.Didn't get em up to scorching triple digits today...135 was about the fastest while turning.Totally felt controlled and solid.

"Watch those Rs mid corner....or I bet that TC will kick in".... No TC for me;)If she's gonna drift,I want to feel itLOL!There's a guy here has a zx9...sweet bike.He drifts on corners really well.Maybe gonna take some 'lessons' from him come Spring;).He's about 6'3"...big fella...methinks he knows his chit;)
I really was happy about how the front and rear wheel fit back on the Ninja...no getting the spacers and all that in there...brake calipers slid right in....not one hitch.I think it took me from start of reinstalling to the cotter pin around 45 minutes....it wasn't very long. And placing the wheels where they needed to be was a joy compared to the stockers....so much lighter and all.NO DRAMA.Highly recommend these wheels.HIGHLY.This is an amazing bike....I just love this bird;)

Hi Grn,
Sorry for the off topic. I noticed that you've got the frame plugs fitted.
Did you black out the footrest bolts or is there special plugs to fit over them as well?
I can't see so well on the picture. Bike is looking very purposeful. Congrats.

Hi Paul...yes...blacked out the silver bits here and there...brake lever is next...along with the master unit.Gonna black out the pegs also...eventually.And the midpipe fitting under there(where it attaches to the frame)Thinking about blacking out the silver case bolts as well....yup...she is purposeful...simple...but effective;)Thanks Paul.Best bike I've ever owned...well past my expectations.
Went out again this evening and removed and balanced the wheels.(forgot to today before install )Never had such a simple process in wheel R&R on any previous bike. This thing's a dream...No cursing...no high blood pressure.Everything fits right into place easily.Love these wheels;)The ceramic bearings really roll nicely.Well past the steel factory units.

So Grn how many times have you headed out to the garage just to look at your wheels. If I had them that's what I'd be doing. Congrats, they are like pieces of art.

T/Y.Could never imagine as a kid I'd have a bike like this....;)
that is very well put, Grn...and I bet you ARE going out the garage to sit and look at the BSTs every time you have a spare minute or 45. lol
you know, since I got into this, my taste has changed quite a bit....still would have impressed the shit out of me as a kid to see myself on my modded 14.

Rims look great and I'm sure they're noticeable when riding the bike around as well. We just got a set for our 14 also and couldn't be happier. Big money but big promises of higher levels of performance made me pull the trigger on them.

there are so damn many ways to measuer the weight.....with carriers w/o with spacers w/o with sprocket and rotors w/o
to make it worse not all wheels have carriers and spacers....it is hard to get exact figures but BST is lightest by far.
This should give some idea. There are a variety of sizes but this is something like what the 14 would have on it if you went with direct OEM replacement.
SIZE : 6.25" x 17"
WEIGHT : 9.75 lbs. (4.42 kg) with sprocket carrier and hardware (without sprocket)
Add 1.05 lbs. (0.476 kg) with Worldwide Bearings ceramic bearings
Add 1.15 lbs. (0.521 kg) with Worldwide Bearings steel bearings
STATIC LOAD RATING : 640 lbs (290 kg)

MATERIALS : Carbon fiber and aluminum
STYLE : Slanted, five-spoke configuration
ANTI-SLIP COATING :Standard
VALVE STEMS : BST Ultra-High-Speed (UHS) 90-degree, aluminum stems and caps
APPROVALS : DOT for street use - Race sanctioning bodies
FITMENT : Direct OEM replacement - Aftermarket sprocket required
WARRANTY : 2 Years
SIZE : 3.5" x 17"
WEIGHT : 5.65 lbs. (2.56 kg)
Add .40 lbs. (0.181 kg) with Worldwide Bearings ceramic bearings
Add .45 lbs. (0.204 kg) with Worldwide Bearings steel bearings
STATIC LOAD RATING : 330 lbs (150 kg)

"Singly...they are at least half as much as the replacement wheel.Less even"
I'm not sure, weight saving are around 40% on 1st gen, it's got be less on 2nd gen 14's no?
I have stopped cleaning mine all the time and am amazed how good they look, when I do clean them. they shine superbly night or day. I do feel bad about them sometimes, they kinda put you in the snob club if you know what I mean, but again if I don't clean them, nobody notice them during group rides. I had a buddy who own a gixer ride my 14 and he says the bike feel lighter than his! The bike rides like Aladdin magic carpet and transition from left to right is quick and precise.

Almost forgot congrats Green but be careful, those wheels come with an optional little devil that murmurs things that you should have no business doing lol
