think I'm gonna put it on the storage mode for the next few weeks while I'm waiting for winter to make its exit.
Plus when i install it i wanna check the amps on it to see if my L.E.D's are drawing power even when off. I think next winter ill just pull the battery and keep it in the house in storage mode lol

Unless your LED's are actually lighting.....they're not drawing any current.BUT...you did do some lighting mods right?MAYB...you have a short to ground somewhere in there.Maybe not enough to cause a fuse to blow or something...but enough to suck yer bat dry after a short time?It shouldn't be dying that quickly...no way...somethin's pullin from somewhere.Even with the clock and that,it should stay pretty good for longer than it has been.I think my stock battery needed to be 'floated' several times over the Winter...last year and before. It would start to die after not riding for a while. It was the clock doing it...or whatever the circuits are 'behind the scenes'.

grn I was wondering about that. not grounding out but i did that video with them in music mode I think I may have forgot to turn them off and didn't catch it cuz they don't light up without sound but I'm sure it would still drain on the batt

J/K about sending the new battery back Scott!I'd say IF the 'Music mode" deal is live with the battery off...yer gonna see this again. The lamps might not light up...but the power to em is still running off yer battery.Never heard of this kind of setup..."key OFF...power ON"...except for the clock deal. Not good methinks.

grn with the led's there are like 14 modes and a on/off button when in music mode it will only light up when there is bass to be heard when there is no music (bass) there are no lights but I'm thinking it is still drawing power waiting so I'm thinking i may have just forgot to turn the led system off.

If you think about it led lights would not be much good to you at bike nights if you had to have the key on for them to work.

Ive had my new charger hooked up to the old battery now for over an hr and it was at 13.8 volts and with the charger on its dropped to 13.3v whats up with that? its on charge mode with a green flashing light.

The green flashing light is showing it's not fully charged yet.Keep it on there. You are talking about a 'batterytender'...yes?Or do you mean your Shorai?...on the Shorai charger?

Ya...I think your led system has been left 'on' all these times...pulling current.Maybe not the lighting mode...but something.

"Ive had my new charger hooked up to the old battery now for over an hr and it was at 13.8 volts"...IDK WHAT old battery you mean? That Batterytender plug won't fit the Shorai. What do you mean?

Your LED system has no way to cut current from the sitting battery in the bike?I've never heard of that? You need a cut switch to stop it from pulling juice even with your ignition turned off.Yer gonna have dead batteries up the ying yang!

This in my opinion is a fatal flaw to the batteries success . Run the Batt down once and she's done ?????? No matter what size battery you buy the tech is the same.

Killed mine and recharged it with a Battery Tender... a year later, it's still going strong and has not been put on any sort of charger since.
