Yep, even the oil and filter is make sure it was your oil after they drained it with everyone else is BBB the law on them as they are your parts. You just commissioned them to repair your bike. Request your parts back; it is that simple.

Edit: Your insurance already cleared the parts. You want to make sure they installed all that was on the insurance list is match part for part number. GET THEM!

I had a similar situation with SF last year (bike got blown over in a wind storm). I got all the parts back. I saved a bunch by searching ebay and other cycle sites for some of the parts and installing them myself. I saved enough to get a Power Commander(installed), Two Brothers CF slip-ons and a K&N air filter.

About sliders: they saved ur leg and hence did their job. If you also want to increase chances of having undamaged frame after accident get sliders that use 3 or more attachment points (such as Spieglers, more money but u get what u pay for), or get race rails. One-bolt sliders usually only work well in high-speed scenarios such as track. So put PROPER sliders on your repaired bike and enjoy saved leg if you crash again!

If you're thinking about doing [u]any[u] of it on your own. I just replaced the right side (lower) fairings (the big one and the lowest one) the right peg bracket (just like you broke) - the right mirror (damn, this is looking too familiar), and the bar end. I didn't damage the frame, just just cosmetic stuff - did all of it myself and only spent about $600..... If you are thinking about wrenching some of it yourself - I can send you the website that saved me about $500 in parts (genuine Kawasaki too!)

Here's the link...

http://www.mrcycles.com/

I'm not sure if that's gonna work to just click on... either way, those are the guys. Shipping took a while for my order (about 10-12 days for me to get it from the time I ordered), but they had to ship them all the way over to the left coast.
