State Farm (full coverage) minus $250 deduct, the frame slider cracked the bike's frame at the base,is shown in one of the pics,so just waiting for the adjuster to evaluate and make a final decision.

Sorry to hear about the misfortune, juice. I think SF will be good to you. Shame it always happens at somebody else's expense but sharing this info sends a warning out for the rest of us. I know I'm extra on my toes after i hear about a crash. Sounds like the kind of trouble an of us could have happen. You don't know, it might have happened on a scrubbed set of tires just the same. Lots of sand and road debris around here this time of year.
Glad your frame is unbroken. Smart to have yourself protected.

>>> Used front? Juice, that a used front and you were pushing it? Did the front slip? I bet the rear stuck real grippy like. You washed the front was the front should have been changed with the rear.
Think back to that washout. Did the front dive or the rear come around?

Wow Wow Wow, Sorry to see and here the news . I am Glad to see you will be OK. After seeing this I have mixed feelings on the Frame sliders . What is your take on this ? . They broke your frame but saved your leg ? I have the Tee Rex frame sliders installed on my bike.

I will take a broken frame over a broken leg any day! Broken frame plus the cosmetics probably equals new bike! SF should cover to replace your gear also. Glad your ok. As for me, frame sliders stay on.

dude sorry bout your bike but glad that you didn't break any bones or get hurt any worse.... I had a mishap with 2 new tires that got a bit wet, was only a few degrees above zero and I cam out of the turn and lost the back end, but saved it... that was my second ride on her... but glad you are okay and always remember that its only a machine they make thousands of them every year!!! Good luck with the insurance company!!!

^^Yeah, same thing happened to me on my last ride of the season last fall but the tires were scrubbed. I'm pretty sure those tires just don't get warm in 30 degree weather and I know the roads don't. I was lucky that day.

Question for you guys:
Am I entitled to all the parts that the dealership is replacing? ie cowlings, mirror, exhaust, etc??? I should be,right?
please advise

I think so, and if not you, your insurance company. I would demand that the dealership return all replaced parts to prove that they did the work. I dropped my 2000 ZX9 a couple of years ago and when it went to the shop to get an estimate for my insurance they said both front forks needed to be replaced, along with the entire steering head assembly. The bike was a write-off but I bought it back and fixed everything for a fraction of the price the shop wanted. Turned out a lot of components the shop said needed replacing didn't (ie, the forks were checked out by another mechanic and there was absolutely no warping/bending).
I mentioned this to the insurance company and they weren't surprised, apparently a lot of shops artificially increase the cost of the repairs so the vehicle is written off if they don't feel like doing the work.
Post is getting long but on a similar note: my wife took her car in several years ago to a dealership and specifically requested the old parts be returned to her. They never did and claimed that the parts were already thrown away, she fought with them and had the bill reduced significantly as they couldn't prove that they actually replaced the parts.
