Tomorrow, the boys and I are going on our first ride since we lost our mate in May. We are doing the same ride in his honor and will place a plaque we made up for him at the site of the accident.
Since that very bad day, we have tried to support his family as much as we can.
We were unsure how we would be received at the funeral but we needn't have worried.
We have tried to answer their questions (without giving details that would have distressed them even further), been available when needed (some of us have visited them personally), and allowed the family to be involved in the design and wording of the plaque.
There is no doubt all this has assisted them in some way, large or small.
Im not saying GRN is right or wrong.
But no matter what the reasons are behind it, its a pretty average world we live in when when a grieving family who has lost someone is calling out and may be ignored due to fear of personal impact or disadvantage...
