Thanks for the prayers Rudy, that's the only thing that's going to get me past this. Pain level in my neck is pretty intense, very difficult to sleep or relax. I just want to come back from this and get back to riding but maybe at 8/10 from now on. It looks like it will be a long road to recovery.

ASIAN HOOKERS

A couple of updates on my situation. Leg is healing very fast, doc said maybe two more weeks until I can walk again.
I'll give it another week or two after that to get my stability back and try going for an easy ride, just a run through the gears to see if I can handle it. The Wrecked CBR sold last night for $3500, more than I expected. They usually sell around here for about $6500 to $7000 in pristine condition, which mine was, so I feel fortunate.Maybe $2000 for aftermarket fairing kit and a few miscellaneous bar ends , mirrors and lower case covers and someone should have a nice bike again. She runs good and straight, no fork or frame damage was apparent, just scratched up real good. Final note, the family has reached out on Facebook for the identity of the second rider in that fatal accident. They were asking if anyone knew who I was and wanted to talk to me. Maybe a closure thing but I don't really have much I can tell them if they're looking for answers. Only the young man who died knows what happened and what was going through his mind and he's not here anymore. I don't want to open another can of worms but would talk to them if I thought it would help. I know if the situation were reversed, I'd be looking for answers also.

They were asking if anyone knew who I was and wanted to talk to me"...Hate to say it...but use caution here.If there's a way to talk online(first)without revealing your name(or E-mail),then maybe.You've NO idea who they are...what they want.IF they want anything.It may be innocent...as you say...but it also could be something very different.You just never know.

Bottom line...YOU didn't cause his death.You have no responsibility to respond or anything else.Regardless of what ANYONE else says.DO NOT reveal your name.That's my opinion on this part.

Honestly...you say.."family"...okay...how do you KNOW it's his 'family'?Have they contacted the Police?If not...WHY not?That's where I'd be going FIRST if I were seeking answers.All up front and in the open.

I would run this by your local authorities FIRST before any response.See if they've contacted them about you.Get their opinion.So it's all in black and white so to speak.

You're simply protecting yourself...an innocent 'bystander'.Remember...this has NOTHING to do with YOU.His death I mean.

Tomorrow, the boys and I are going on our first ride since we lost our mate in May. We are doing the same ride in his honor and will place a plaque we made up for him at the site of the accident.

Since that very bad day, we have tried to support his family as much as we can.
We were unsure how we would be received at the funeral but we needn't have worried.
We have tried to answer their questions (without giving details that would have distressed them even further), been available when needed (some of us have visited them personally), and allowed the family to be involved in the design and wording of the plaque.
There is no doubt all this has assisted them in some way, large or small.

Im not saying GRN is right or wrong.
But no matter what the reasons are behind it, its a pretty average world we live in when when a grieving family who has lost someone is calling out and may be ignored due to fear of personal impact or disadvantage...

Nope...I'm not right or wrong.It's a personal deal this here.

You guys all knew this rider...he was part of your group.That's a bit different than Kruz's deal.If it were me..I'd be a bit wary about interacting with people I didn't know...about a rider I didn't know..yet was involved in something this serious.Since there were conflicting reports about the whole thing...someone could easily be attempting to place 'blame'...with it's possible legal consequences.That's all I'm saying.Not everyone is a 'nice guy' out there.The less they know about Kruz..IMO...the better.Kruz didn't see it...what can he offer?("I didn't see him crash...I have no idea what happened")...would that add anything to the grieving family?The police know more than Kruz does.So why stick himself at the center of it?If the cops felt Kruz was somehow to fault here...they would have done something.They didn't.But that doesn't mean his 'family' feels the same way.Wouldn't be the first time for something like this.

IDK...just sounds 'not okay' to me.Just lookin out for my buddy..that's all.

I agree with Grn. I don't understand how the drama has gotten this far out of hand. Unless you actually really did do something that caused the guy to wreck and die it doesn't even have anything to do with you really. And frankly, if you did do something that caused the guy to wreck and thus die, you probably should be held to whatever extent the law allows.

For all practical intents and purposes, you happened to be riding on the same road. It's like if you were eating at some steak house, ordered a the same steak as some guy the table next to you, he dies from choking on it and you feel the blame because you ordered the same steak. I'm not joking around about this, this is actually a valid comparison between the incidents.

Seriously, at some point I have to call this one way or the other. I've never know anyone that's had so much guilt when in reality they had nothing to do with it.

Kruz is a sensitive guy...he does care.That's part of what makes him who he is...he'll sort it out.In his way and his time.My thoughts are with him.And hopes.

Vic, I'm not beating up myself or taking any blame for what happened, a guy went into a corner too fast and paid the consequence. Grn has a valid point, we don't know what the families motivation is to find me. They may just be looking for closure and to make sense out of what appears to be a senseless tragedy.....or it could be something darker. I'm not sure if I could help them with closure as I have so few answers myself but would try if I thought it would help them find peace.

Thanks for the support Grn, this is unbelievable to have two tragedies occur only two weeks apart. This has been the low point of my life.

Thanks for the words of encouragement Grn, I sometimes feel like this is never going to end. Pain levels in my neck have been unbearable at times, pain meds hardly help.

Try the Jack;)Your pain will subside...remember that.This is only temporary.But I understand how you feel...I'm just really glad you didn't sever that femoral artery.

Take a pain med...maybe two...and a shot.BEFORE bedtime.Stay off the road.

Yea, I lied, I hired four full time Asian hookers to help me recuperate....lol!

No, actually I started taking Ibuprofen anti-inflammation meds yesterday, seems to be calming my neck muscles from spasm and a neighbor hooked me up with some strong sedatives he takes for back pain which knocked me out for almost 24 hours, big difference and then the Asian hookers came over.....

One more week and I'll try to walk unassisted. Pain levels are manageable but sleep is elusive due to my neck. I went to a pain specialist on Tuesday and he injected a local and steroid combination into my neck and right shoulder, some relief.

Sept 30 I hit a tree after losing control of my zx14.
I shattered my pelvis after 2 operation one 10hr the other5 hr.I am just starting to stand on my good leg
I will not be able to put weight on my right leg for 8 -10 week
I am still in the hospital.My bike will be good for parts.
