Way to go Ned!!And Erik-welcome-you can definitely customize a 14 for touring. As for the galpal having the heart attack-I understand that-had mine(fatal)in 2004.Three stents put in.Doing great here-no probs(thank GOD).She should be able to ride-I can't see why not.My doctor knows I ride a 14-he never said"sorry,no more excitement for you".He thought it was very cool that I ride this big ole sportbike.(after 12 hours in critical condition and bringing me back SEVERAL times,he had no problem with me riding). But I hope she's okay-and taking her medications.I'm 56-and feel just fine.Hope it all works out for you two-ride safe there!

ErikR!
I just got my '09 14! I live near Madison, we should get a ride together when the weather starts to let us enjoy our two wheeled toys! I also have a good friend in Montana named Erik that has a Black '07 14!
Later!
