Well last year I was close but the 10 mph head wind stopped me in my tracks at 191! So this year just in case it's windy again my baby is packing a 40 shot of NOS just in case! Lol. I installed the kit back in December but didn't get to wire it so this weekend I'm gonna wire it in and get the bottles filled. I want to test it on the dyno just to make sure she doesn't get lean up top. The run is July 11,12,13th. I'm going to run 17/42 with my red line at 11,800 I should be good. But also just in case I want to really try for max speed I'm bringing a 40 tooth rear to swap out! Man I can't wait!!!

does the bike make more power at 11,800? Thought peak hp was about 10,000.

regardless, I'd love to have an extra 800 rpm to play with.

Drag I think your right! With the seat foam cut out I'm lower by at least three inches. I remember doing it last year and at first she stopped at about 185 but I really got down in the bike and you could watch the rpm's increase.

Cool! About $1800 for all three? I'm doin that. First NOS though. ...and I'm just about ready to break down and try the Factory Pro velocity stacks.

Yes, i was thinking about that. However, I imagine the NOS provides a much bigger increase in power (as long as the bottle lasts) for about half the price of milling.

Well I just wired in the NOS tonight so she's all set. I ordered a 10 lbs tank I'm going to use as a filling station for the (2) one pound bottles. So once that comes in this week I'll get it filled and then be off to the dyno. O baby!!! Lol

I hear you for sure... But honestly I don't want to use the nitrous unless I don't meet the goal. I bet with the gas and the 40 rear I'd be up in the 215 to 220 range.

Do you feel a progressive controller would be of any benefit? ...I'm thinking that would be more of a drag racing need where you would be fast shifting on nitrous.

I'm wondering if I would need a progressive controller for the NOS i'm planning. Any ideas much appreciated.

Rook I'll let you know after I hit the button. LOL I’m heading to the dyno this Wednesday to test & Tune the system. I've set it up so you flip a switch and then the horn button is the trigger. Once it’s triggered it also lights up the second fuel map with 20% more fuel to keep things safe.

Well dyno went great! She gained 40Hp! And that was with only a 30 shot! The jest for the NOS were for 30 hp but it made a little over 40! I can imagine what it would be with the 40 shot jets in there! Lol I put the 40 rear sprocket on there cuz I'm pretty sure I will be able to pull it no problem now....

I'd be happy to find out what 16/45 gearing would get to in top speed. I have this fear that a helicopter will be watching. ...then again, I imagine they would have come after me by now.

Naaaa I'm going to run it like I ride it. She'll do it this time for sure. Some guys strap the front ends down but I'm going to leave it alone... I hope we get some dry runs in. its supposed to be a 40% chance of rain.
