Don't run sliders. Run Barrier Bars. Way better

I'm running Shogun no cut frame sliders and looking into getting barrier bars.

Other. LSL.

They look cool and they are engineered to not cause damage to the ZX-14 frame in a fall. They have a soft nylon cushion to absorb the initial shock and a billet puck if the nylon wares away in a slide. They have two mounting points neither located directly behind the point of impact. I'm sure there are some other good sliders too. Two mounting points is a big plus

I am also planning to buy the LSL, for the same reasons stated by Rook.

They are not hard to install but I am doing a How Too with those exact sliders so keep an eye on the How tOO SECTION.

The barrier bars prolly are about the best fall protection for the bike but they must be pretty heavy. Even the LSLs weigh 2 lb 3.1 oz with the bolts. The bolts are almost 1/2 lb. OEM bolts removed, 3.6oz.

Barrier bars aren't heavy enough to be noticed in handling. They are down low, basically adding mass in the crankcase/clutch/alternator region.

The stunt guys run much heavier cages, and it doesn't seem to hinder them from doing tricks none of us can (or would want to) do. Heh.
