I decideed sunday to go for a ride by myself.Thats something I normally dont do been riding around about to head home when I went into a right turn had a bad line in and got target fixation clipped a guy on another bike thank god he was ok minor damage to his bike on the other hand I have a shattered right leg with a rod and two pins I really feel bad for hitting the other guy sorry for the spelling the pain pills are sttarting to work

Man! Sure sorry to hear about your leg. Hope you heal soon. What was the damage on the bike?

From what I was told the bike isn't bad as soon as I get some pic and figure out how to post them I will have the xrays also still in alot of pain

Bike has about 2 grand in damage plastic,pipes and minor stuff

How long were you not able to put full weight on your leg, as my brake was on the 14/6/2010 and I have just been told 4mnths from the accident and I hope your riding soooooooon

Bean this just happened to me 8-1-2010 in the morning that afternoon I had a rod and screws put in my leg the Dr told me 6-8 weeks before I can put any presure on my leg,I feel worst for hitting the other guy than anything even thought he was fine drove his bike home(it was a HD by the way).I hit his highway bars that was the only thing even slightly bent on his bike and thats what did the damage to me.Hope you are up and riding soon too.

Thanks I think we both will be able to stand around the same time it will be around mid october before they say my bone will be good to go!, I JUST: got a message from SA BIKES the repairer, I / my best mate will be able to pick it up next week.At least I can admire & sit on it! I am sure the guy you hit would probably be ok knowing you definatly came out second best,hopefully it will be sooner were riding again.

Bean just talked to my best mate(he rides a busa) he is going to handle the parts lists for me for the insurance company and will help me rebuild my baby I'm thankful it wasnt worst and that I have friends like him to help me out and I also have a great family thats backing all the way in life,recovery and my riding hope you heal fast and you are back to riding soon.

ONYA gravedigger,my mate (GODDY 09XJR1300) Took me out for the day, he & my family bought me a new lid,and went to heaps of bike shops,you are dead right, with out them, I would be screwed!

Bean,I getting better everyday I'm able to move around more go back to the Dr on the 31st he said I can start putting some weight on it,then meeting with the insurance in a couple of days they said every thing is approved for replacement they just need to see the bike as soon as they cut me a check its time to fix her up how about you how is your healing coming along

G'day; mate I'm glad things are starting to go well for u ,I'm healed up externally,but on september 1.(3 set x-rays) I'll then have news about the bone fractures,I'LL let u no then! my bike is just waiting on the r/h exhaust,then it's off to lees spot on for a pcv and dyno,my mate will then bring her home.Once again mate chin up were on the way back !

HEY BUD; i'm sat here a bit, not here now,by my own reflecting a bit sad self, but if we could see each other we would laugh we know somtimes we would reflect, and no one no's self peed off 9wk's now!

Definately mates ya do go stir crazy the time gives us plenty of time to reflect! anticipation of next x-ray, "Guilt" through not helping around the home,not to mention the loss of income, $9,000 so far!!! things I put on myself and everbody else !!! In the end we will Look back and laugh! as i'm sure we allways 'DO" things are going ok,a few days more to kwnow +/-

Well had my Dr visit today he said Im healing up good no walking boot yet but I can start putting a little weight on it each day a little at a time he also said this type of injury can take up to 4 months to heal completly but I can work in the office now only if my job will let me I need to get out this house Im going fing nuts so bean any news from down under how are you doing

G'day mate very happy that ya progresing,I sincerely hope you are !! had my xray yesterday not good will see them the at the end of November !! if no change then have to have a bone graft,(bit late) he asked if i smoked,i replied no why, he said if you smoke cigarets that inhibits bone regrowth,if you smoke dope it kills all bone growth,(shit) why could they not of told me this majour warning 2 mnths ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on the plus side got my bike back from the dyno's,my mate brought her home he reckons it,s absolutly f---n insane,woooohooo I can't wait, all the best anyway bud keep intouch!

Since I have time on my hands and time to think I figured I should get some new gear so I bit the bullet and bought a 1 pieace suit and some new gloves since mine where riped in my wreck next is some new boots(mine where all busted up) and a new lid

Finaly back to work in the office getting better everyday walking a little on my leg cant wait to get back on my bike

fab mate I wish I COULD go to work too, seen physio yesterday, he took 2 measurements witch being a boilermaker I luv !!! now have some start(measurements to work from, 10 % STRAIGHT / 40% BEND !!! at least theres small light comming through the tunnel now for both of us buddy
