This is a look down the road for some of you. As long as you have your balance, the riding continues. No matter the residuals of this ache, this pain, too many quotes from these buzzards that fill in the blanks.

A cruiser is harder on the back IMHO,
and I will echo the wind factor!
I put over 100k miles on my FXSTC..but I was
22!!I started riding sport-bikes in 2000,Now at 50
I thought I wanted anither HD.. took a Street Glide
for a test ride..felt like a tractor and
I am so happy I kept the 14.

Fifty here with,in the past, broken arm, wrist, leg, foot and cracked back in three places.I actually put my cruisers up for sale because I think I've torn both rotator cuffs and they hurt my shoulder to ride.Don't have that problem with the 14r.Back does get a little painful after riding awhile but it's worth it.

i bought my ZX14R at 58 y.o., to replace my 2006 Hayabusa. my lumbar spine is fused and looks like a chain length fence inside. Stretched out on a ZX14 is the only way to ride if your back is trashed. Sitting up straight on a cruiser would put more pressure on your spine. Then there's the corners....

I'm 57, in my opinion, you're never too old to ride.
Tony Serra, age 74, wins Moto West GP class championship.
By winning the 2013 Moto West Grand Prix, at the age of 74, Serra has set a high standard indeed. Earning this championship required Serra to race at three different tracks over eight race weekends. He did this with panache, finishing on the podium in seven races, taking the title by a dominant 51 points and by setting numerous personal best lap times along the way.

With age the reflexes go (with training, nutrition we can combat these effects). Age is just a number, as demonstrated by Tony. As we get older recovery time is longer. But realistically regardless of age or instrument (two wheels) a predator hone master rider, will out pace any younglin! My two cents. I'm 41 over here!

I'm 57 years young, but when I grow up I want to be like these two fine gentlemen.
