A big thanks to everyone who made Sunday's ROT ride another good one. We turned up to Richmond to be greeted by a pretty mild morning. From there we headed to our first stop at Orford where we catch up with another ride group the Ulysses.
After a coffee we then headed up the East Coast Road to Swansea and the Bark Mill for lunch. Coming into Swansea after Blade Runner, Steven and I had had a ball, blasting up the coast road. In Swansea at the tight bend near the shops I notice Blade Runner wandering across to the other side of the road. The slowest corner on the ride and he decides to take a short cut to Coles Bay via the ocean.
For that he gets the Dumbarse award this month.
While having lunch PP said him and Jeff (our visiting American) would be heading back across Lake Leake Campbell Town and Mudwalls back to Richmond. I then asked if everyone would like to head home via that route, to which most said yes.
A big thanks to the guy who came all the way from Devonport just to catch up with us, thanks mate!
All in all it was about a 326 k ride with Lake Leake Road giving us a very quick ride in perfect weather conditions.
