I wanted to start a new thread here in the performance section documenting the gradual growth of Melinda.

I bought my 2012 ZX14R in March 2013. I put on 5900 miles with the bike in stock form. Then I purchased my first mod. M4 megaphone slips. Let me just say, FUCKIN AWESOME! Love these damn pipes. Only rode for 92 miles with them, but so far, so awesome! I do recommend them to anyone! They look awesome too!

And for the second mod... Can you say CBLASTED? Yes, my Melinda has been CBlasted by the great Predator Racing Team! I've only just put the bike back together with the newly flashed ECU. Ran the bike at idle til the fan kicked on, then played with the throttle just a lil bit. 2 things I noticed immediately, the sound and the smell. WOW and WOW! Sounds and smells like a damn Muscle Car! I cannot wait to get her out on the road to give it a nice road test.

I did have to have some warranty work done. I noticed i had lost a bit of clutch fluid from the res. So i investigated a little bit and noticed that near the slave cylinder was wet, and the plastics had been damaged by the fluid leaking as well. I took the bike back to the dealership. They took care of me very well. The mechanic found a metal shaving about 1.5" long stuck between the cylinder wall and the piston. Everytime I used the clutch, it slowly chewed away at the seal, causing it to leak progressively. Kawasaki covered and replaced the slave cylinder and the plastics that were damaged. While it was in the shop I also had a new set of Pirelli Angel GT's mounted. On the rear tire I went to a 55 profile instead of the stock 50 profile. Will give feed back on this. Haven't ridden them yet.

I took Melinda out for s ride yesterday. Was a bit cold out there. But managed to burn off the fuel in the tank and refilled with treated fuel for winter storage.

Now I know the temps are low and I'm not even close to pushing this bikes potential. But, I tried. I took a route I call my "east tour" of my state. Part country, part city/rural and a stretch of highway. I'm able to normally tear it up. But I took it easy. I had to. Cold pavement and brand new Angel GTs with this powerful upgrade = alot of tire spin. Lol. TC was in full tilt and absolutely flawless. However once I got on the highway, game on. FUCKIN CRAZY how awesome she runs now. Crisp throttle. Torque out the ass. WTF! WOTTT! Crack it in 4th, dam front tire came right off the ground! Had me screaming in my helmet like a kid. Hit 5th and she wants to hit red line Sooooo fast! Hit 6th and away ya go! Holy fuck! Topped it out this run at 178 only coz too much traffic on Christmas Eve and uh... bitterly cold. Was pulling so too. I know I was on my way to 200 with ease! So far, so awesome! Thank you CBLAST and Predator Racing Team!

M4 megaphone not only sounds the business, but looks, whaaaa! Get out of here, flawless Smat, well done. Angel GT another excellent choice a local around here named Dave rode it and had nothing but compliments to report. I remember how the earth shook as I went from 50 profile to 55. Felt like the bike was on a diet. Awesome! On this note I just grabbed a 60 slick, thanks to my boy beast who snagged one for me. Now...the flash!
Come on$$$$ money how that creamy power decimate the rear tire. Whaaaaaat! I rode mine in some low temps, but I had the same reaction WTFWT!!!!

Conclusion
That bike looks fling awesome. When I ride down and grab you this summer, I hope I can keep up!

I'll have my q2's ready to put on in a 55 series rear as well!! Along with some dyno readings with stock exhaust, aftermarket then flash!
