hello, I would like to ?nstall second radiator fan to my zx14 but I live in Turkey and not many parts options are available here, I can get a zx10r fan, my question is that will it fit to right side? or air blowing ways are the same? any info would be great , if this was spoken in a old post I am sorry to repeat it but I search the forum and couldnt find anything, thanx alot

As long as you've owned this bike, has it every overheated? If it didn't, you don't need a second fan. Factory threw on a second fan because customers think the bike is too hot for one fan, so to ease their mind, rather than give a dissertation of thermodynamics and goes over their head, you really don't need it.

You're better off buying a later model radiator with the two fan mount setup. Why? Because there are mount points for the second radiator, where you'd have to mount it firmly or a possibility a zip-tie etching into a core and cause a leak due to vibration.

Hey Hub thnx for replying, where I live riding season is around 90-100 degrees so bike always runs hot although never over heated :) but it is just makes me crazy to see that 5th bar on temperature gauge :) (just like you said) so even I know bike is just perfectly fine as it is I am gonna still do me a winter project of adding the second fan, thanx for good advice to get a newer radiator ill definetly look for it, hope i can find it.

I put a 2nd fan on my 2008 when I had the header off. The fans kick on whatever the brain box is set at and the 2nd fan just gets the coolant cooler quicker.
My bike never over heated and still doesn't but like I said the header was off and I thought what the hell go ahead and put one on.

Hey lytnin, I'll definitely take whatever off from the bike to make it easy installation, it Will be a winter project also so will have so much time, do you know anything about zx10r fan??? That is what I am gonna try to put in

I used a 6 in or 7 in one pc fan/housing that is all plastic and is held to the radiator with zip strips that go thru the radiator for attachment to the radiator.
Been on the bike for over 10 years and every now and then I check to make sure the zippy things are still in one pc.
