Hello all, I am new to the forums. I have never been on forums before and appreciate all help that is given. I will soon be purchasing a 2014 zx 14. I currently have a 2002 cbr 954rr that I purchased back in 2002. She's still going strong with 66,000+ miles, but its time to step up to the big boy!! I will be purchasing a few after market items for the 14 and was looking for suggestions, such as exhaust pipes and risers for handle bars.

Any help would be great

Thank you

Welcome.
If you wanna go the cheap route, The Two Brothers slip ons are as cheap as I could find. I'm quite satisfied with them.

Jimmymac thank you. I have the two bros on my cbr and like them very well also. Was just wondering if a different exhaust ran better with the 14. Any advice on the risers??

Victhing, how many miles u got on your 14?

Merlin, there are a couple options, depending on how aggressive you want the risers to be. With your experience on the CBR (I've had a couple of them), you may want to consider a simple insert such as shown at helibars.com. I'm old, tired, worn out, and approaching the broke down level (LOL!!!); and the stock bars on my ZX10R drove me (and my back...) crazy. For me, the 1/2" rise and 3/8" pull was just enough to make a major difference. I can now drive for 2 hours to the next pit stop (pee break...) without too much drama...

There are exhaust systems that weigh less, and flow better, but like I said, if you want a low price, they sure worked out well for me.

Groomlake, I appreciate the advice!! I've had the cbr for 12 years and never did anything with the handlebars. So far my body is holding up to the sport bike without pain and I'm trying to keep it that way. Lol. Now I want to try and be a little more comfortable. Thank you!!

Jimmymac, I hear YA brother. I have two bros exhaust on my cbr and love the sound. I'll be sticking with those. Thank you

Welcome Merlin,
Though a bit more look at Muzzy. They have impressed me on many occasions.

4009, and that's in the books for the 2014 riding season. Bought it June 14th, so I averaged 1000 miles a month (mostly city/urban miles). Sadly I moth balled her Saturday.

Brocks full system, flash a/o PC5 with Autotune, Carrazzeria wheels or BST if you can afford them. As is the case with the Gen1, I'm sure there are at least 30 lbs of unnecessary junk on the bike you can remove.
