Guys,
to be honest with you, I'm not sure why many of the guys that
posted on the old and now defunct forum just never felt welcome
on Bikeland. Fish invited zxbob as a moderator for this sole reason-
a gesture that went unnoticed for reasons unknown to me.
I never meant to slam this forum and I certainly didn't intentionally spam
on Bikeland. People get on my case for one or the other, but I honestly
just wanted to yank Hub's chain a little... and he took it in stride wich
I give him props for.
Having bg thank me for that thread got people upset a little. I probably wouldn't
feel any different if I owned or helped as a moderator on Bikeland.
I would really appreciate if bg clears any doubt wether I was spamming or not.
I plan on posting both here and on Bikeland... or anywhere else for that matter.
I see some of you guys on both forums too- just more of a good thing IMHO.
Not to be long and boring...
Stan

Stan, having read the Bikeland thread, I do not see anything wrong what you did. I have been member there since 2005 and I have met fish personally. He is truly a nice guy, and on top of that, a genuine motorcycling enthusiast. He actually used to post in the old zx14ninja forum. After it died, he welcomed all stranded members. Yet, it is a different website and the old family spirit just isn't there. I have suggested to BG before to avoid confrontation and let the new site just take it's own course. It would be disappointing if Bikeland develops hostile position against this website. After all, we all share the same passion, hobby and most of all, a lifestyle. Let's just get all along. I also intend to maintain my membership and frequent visits to Bikeland, I hope everyone else will as well.

Has nothing to do with it for me. Folks went many directions. This sites graphics are much easier for my one good eye to read...
but I post both places.

Stan:
I'm truly sorry if I caused any problems with that comment. I sure didn't mean anything negative by it. I didn't/don't know you at all, and we've never had any communication that I know of, so you and I certainly didn't plan any scheme to bring more traffic here. I had just noticed your thread at Bikeland and noticed that our visitor count came up at the same time, so I was sincere in my thanks for your posting your message there.
Please let me know if there's anything further I can do to clarify. If anybody at Bikeland would like to ask me any questions, they are free to log in here and do that.
I noticed the comment about my choice of domain name and same/similar forum topics, and that they could have done that but didn't out of respect, or something like that.
I have lots of respect for the members of the the zx14ninja.com but, but ABSOLUTELY NO respect for the owners of that site. What they did is beyond unethical. Several people offered to buy the site and keep it going; I offered to take over the hosting if they needed that. Nothing happened except that it disappeared. All of the years of great contributions of all of those members (which really gave the thing any value that it may have had), went up in smoke.
My only goal was to give people another similar place to hang out if they wanted to -- a place that wasn't dependent on any commercial interest... -bg

We all float around. We all gather, give, and absorb info from others. If this is some rival team from another town and you are choking both chains that way, I am all for it. Like Steven said, we have a lifestyle and you cannot separate the two.
One website is not like another website. Out of 4 Corvette websites, 2 banned me, the other two accept me at their place. In fact, you should have seen how many members were "BANNED" that said they came from another Vette website, so we are not unique. It must be a natural rotation of who are banned from other same-lifestyles.
So for me to take it "in stride" had more or less been routine as if I am a constant rotating reject out of ear. Bg is so open to suggestions, we can drop that "Hub" thing for you. It bothers me none. I am more a member than a focal point.
You do not want to mimic my lifestyle. I am just one spice in the mix where we mix id it up at the sites you are on. No harm, no foul. All is well at bike lands where the wheel stops, nobody knows.

+1 Hang out for a while, drop some posts, you're one of them. I feel perfectly comfortable on bikeland. I think the talk is often more straight forward and to the point. A little less buddy-buddy and more "What is your question?" and "Here is the answer." I think this site, like the old one, is less focussed and seems a bit more personal which are two things I appreciate.
I plan on posting both here and on Bikeland... or anywhere else for that matter.

+1 again, Stan. I see no reason why we shouldn't contribute to other sites. I'm always grateful for help and I enjoy offerring help when I can. As far as exchanging info goes, the more sources, the better. I have noticed a lot of people posting on bikeland who also posted on the old site from years back. I wouldn't be surprized if they continued to post on both sites and probably others.
Of anyone who washed up on the shores of bikeland, I would think you have the healthiest post count. I doubt if the bond has been broken. I think your concern is evidence of your loyalty.

i agree with you 100% commissioner. i read the opposite thread friday night and it pissed me off. i don't comment because i don't want to be banned over there.
steven, if fish is such a nice guy, then why is he acting so childish about this new site? and your buddy bob is a hater too! it's fine if you don't want to post over here but don't go throwing out childish remarks "behind somebody's back"! fish is so worried that mass is giving this new site more hits. hahaha!
mass, the truth is you wanted everybody on bikeland to bash this site. i knew it would turn in the opposite direction. i was hoping the thread would just die, but it worked out for the better. now your beloved fish antlers thinks you're a benedict.
now, nobody has to get their panties in a bunch. this is just some observations that i needed to throw out. both sites serve good purposes. i come here for socializing with other 14 riders. i've been emailing lab3 all weekend long back and forth. that's the first time i've ever done that with another 14 owner in almost 2 yrs. yes, he's a member of both forums but it got started here.
if fish weren't so hateful towards the commissioner none of this would even be going on. but like the commissioner said, you're always going to have somebody that doesn't like what you are doing. even when you're trying to help others benefit from your work. round of applause for commissioner gordon

Reeves, Fish had made some remarks I do not agree with, but I do not think he will continue. Regarding Bob, I do not see him hating this site, perhaps he feels just obligated to Fish for having him made a mod there. Smart move on Fishes part, as he, naturally, wants to attract as many of the old forum members as he can. Afterall, Bikeland is now a commercial site and it's all about numbers, members, posts, hits, etc..... It seems Fish must not believe that BG doesn't have commercial intentions for this site. Let's see how it all develops, but I would hate to see the bashing continue.

Here is my point. On my end as is with your end, we all float around other sites as we did before. When you post, you know you are going to compose something and I cannot help it... When all of a sudden... It comes out of the blue, I am laughing at the Mule and someone said, "Show me/Let me see your 14?" thread over at Psychobike.
Figured with what the Mule being all kicked around like an old swayback horse is kick it out to pasture; not with the fold you do! WOT popped in my head was how a few seconds of speed are the bikes setup for. What I do is not that fast but say a few miles an hour off when I ride this thing...
I am cooking way more than a few seconds on that 14. Hell, those cans were tested way over 160 and stayed on. They can bash it all they want at that place too, the pond, here, is I do not tell you what color to paint your bike.
Drag my ass over here I have nowhere to hide! ZIt's just a bike. << UB will tell ya. I'm not fist porking your rear end. I have a witness is Bobby [if he remembers that day]. You should see Bob's bike in person. Talk about mean looking clean looking.
