I am sure this has already been asked but what is the best chain and sprocket set to get? I have got almost 31000 on my stock set which I think is awesome and want to get the same on my next set. Thanks

EK ZZZ 530 pitch. Slightly lighter than stock, much stronger.
530 pitch Aluminum rear sprocket is about half the weight of OEM. Have put a few thousand on my aluminum Vortex and it looks like new. Did a couple wheelies and a track day. No broken teeth. Fine. yeah, I'm sure it will not last as long as a steel like COOTS says but I don't see why you can't get 10,000 out of it unless you are subjecting it to constant drag strip use.
Go with steal on the front sprocket. Aftermarket steel is about 2/3 the weight of OEM. I think Vortex makes an alum front but that would wear too fast, I think.
I have Supersprox steel front.
Aluminum Vortex rear 45 tooth. Driven makes a cool aluminum one one too.
EK ZZZ chain.
Researched this to the gils. There are dif opinions such as steel v aluminum but the little bit of info I have posted was all very well supported by other owners with much more experience than me.

Ok guys I was looking and found a steel front and rear for like 160 with the chain. I was looking for long lasting is there anything bad about running a steel rear sprocket and won't it last a lot longer than one of the aluminum ones? And also was thinking of putting an 18 tooth on the front to run lower rpm's down the highway will that mess with my power or riding the twisty's? Thanks Rook

I don't know about the 18 on the front, to me oem is the perfect highway set up I rarely ever get into 6th gear unless I'm on the highway. Heck I was on highway 1 day at 75-80 mph for about 50 miles b4 I realized I was still in 5th gear lol. Gotta inspect them vortex sprockets regularly my buddy had 1 on his 14 after 3,000 miles he took the wheel of and 1/2 the teeth were missing. Superspox has a nice setup and rear is guaranteed for life but of course you pay a lot more for it and they will only replace it once.

+1 Only time i EVER heard of anyone going to 18T front was for LSR racing, I believe. Adding 1 tooth to the front is like reducing about 2.7-3 teeth on the back (if I recall).
So yeah, that would drop your running rpm about 500 rpm on the highway (going to 45T rear 17 front raised me 500 rpm at about 60 mph). Gonna loose some grunt on take off with 18T. I'd stick to stock for all around excellent gearing. Drag, LSR, street all good at 17/41.
