I'm considering these rearsets but to provide a more comfortable riding position. If the Vortex rearsets were placed in the full down and forward positions, what variation from the stock position could I expect.

I like Vortex Rearsets, good value for the money.
I do not have on the 14 but have used them many times.
Typically they are for racing application and don't provide to much
lowering, etc. more for getting your feet up higher and back to keep
your feet off the pavement and increase ground clearance.
Keep in mind too, even if you could go lower, the pegs do not fold up, not
good if you start scrapping them on the pavement.
I prefer my folding pegs with the little curb feelers on them for road use.
